Sometimes, things are not as 10 as we thought. Just do it.
"Dreams may be more important than sleep. We all need to dream,” some scientists say.
Dreams take up about one quarter of our sleeping time. People have several dreams each night. Dreams are like short films. They are usually in colour. Some dreams are like old films. They come to us over and over again. That may be because the dreamer is worrying about something. Dreaming may be a way of trying to find an answer.
Some people get new ideas about their work from dreams. They may have been thinking about their work all day. These thoughts can carry over into dreams.
Sometimes we wake up with a good feeling from a dream. But often we can't remember the dream. Dreams can disappear (消失)quickly from memory.
Too much dreaming can be harmful (有害的). The more we sleep, the longer we dream. The mind is hard at work when we dream. That is why we may have a long sleep and still wake up tired.
William Shakespeare was a writer of plays and poems. Some of his most famous plays are Hamlet, Romeo and Juliet, Macbeth. He wrote thirty-seven plays in all. They are still popular today.
He was born in 1564 in England. At school he liked watching plays. He decided to be an actor when he finished school at the age of fourteen. In 1582, he married a farmer's daughter. She was eight years older than he was. Their first child was a daughter. Later they had twins. In 1585, Shakespeare left his hometown, Stratford- upon-Avon. His wife and children stayed behind. No one knows why he left or what he did between 1585 and 1592.
At twenty-eight he moved to London and joined a theatre company which opened the Globe Theatre in 1599. He became an actor, and he also wrote plays. He usually acted in his own plays. He earned almost no money from his writing. But he made a lot of money from acting. With the money he bought a large house in his hometown.
At the age of forty-nine,Shakespeare retired (退休)and went to live in Stratford-upon-Avon. He died at the age of fifty-two. He left his money to his family. He left his genius to the world. You still see his plays in English and in many other languages. He is one of the most famous writers in the world.
Thomas is an office clerk. Every day he is busy with his work. After a day's work he is often very tired. His wife, Katherine, has no job, so she stays at home to cook the meals. Every day he can have his dinner when he gets home from office.
One day, Thomas came home very late because he was very busy with an important paper. He was very hungry when he got home. When he found dinner was not ready he was very angry with his wife. He shouted at her, “I'm going to have dinner in a restaurant.” “Wait for five minutes,” said his wife. “Why? Do you think that dinner will be ready in five minutes?” asked Thomas.
"Of course not,” she answered. “But I can be ready to go with you in five minutes.”
People are always afraid of making mistakes. But sometimes it's not bad to make mistakes, and here is why.
At first, mistakes are a dear sign that you are trying new things. It's always good to try new things, because when you are trying new things you are growing. If you never try new things, how can you improve? How can you create? The simple answer is, “You can't.” Look around you, everything you see is the result of someone trying new things.
Another good thing about mistakes is this: when you are making mistakes, you are learning. Consider this: Edison failed 10,000 times before he invented the light bulb. When someone asked him how he felt to fail that many times, he said that he hadn't failed 10,000 times, but rather had learned 10,000 things that didn't work.
Finally, when you make a mistake, you are that much closer to success. Why? Because you have said what you should say, and you have done what you should do. Every time you make a mistake, you are closer to success. But it doesn't mean that you can make mistakes without thinking. Instead, when you try new things you have to think them over, so that you can keep away from some unnecessary mistakes.

Dear Abby,
I'm a helpless mother. My son is 15 years old. I find that the (old) lie grows, the less we talk. I feel very worried and I (real) need help.
My first problem is about his hobbies. He seems to spend too much time computer games. As soon he gets home, he always turns on the computer, closes the door and locks others out. Tm getting worried about (he), especially when his English (teach) told me he always failed in the English exams.
Second, it seems that he is crazy about the new technology. However, to be (honesty), I don't have enough money and I can't afford all the (thing) he wants.
Recently, I (find) that he is always alone. I've never seen him talking to his friends on the phone or going out with anyone on weekends. That is last problem I have.
Do all the boys behave this way? What should I do to help him?
