During the day we work and play, and at night we sleep. Our body rests while we are 1. In the morning we are ready 2 again. Our body grows 3 while we are asleep. Children who are tired usually 4 sleep. We can get better at our lessons 5we have had plenty of rest. Boys and girls who are eight or nine years old need ten hours of sleep every night. Our body needs plenty of 6 when we sleep. If we do not get enough fresh air, we 7 tired when we wake up. While in bed we must not cover our 8, our lung(肺) needs to get enough fresh air. If we 9 our windows at night, we can have plenty of fresh air. Cool air is better than warm air. Boys and girls who want to be 10 must get plenty of sleep.
Never a dull moment

The baby will bite you,

And a grandpa is stone deaf,
(He always slams doors.)
(5) So come down to our house,
You don't need the address,
You will hear it ten miles away
And the outside's a mess.

You'll just love the din(吵闹声)一

Some people say Jacky is the best Chinese singer. I don't think so! Andy is the best. I went to his concert last year. It was so wonderful, I almost cried! OK, I did cry, but that's because Andy is so handsome. |

I disagree with Jim. Andy sounds like every other singer. His voice is nothing special. on the other hand, Jacky's voice unique, and his songs are so romantic.(浪漫的) |

I think they are about the same. But Andy is a better actor. I've seen almost all of his movies. Remember the one where he was an airplane pilot, and his plane crashed(坠毁) near a farm? I love that movie! |

I also think Jacky is a better singer I prefer his Cantonese songs. Maybe they sound better because Cantonese is his first language. |

He is quiet and shy. He likes to hide his eyes behind his hair. He doesn't smile very often. However, if you talk to him about music, he'll have a lot to say.
This is Jay Chou, the 24-year-old Taiwanese pop king(天王). His fans are so excited because he will sing songs in Beijing on September 12. Those songs are from his new album(唱片), "Ye Huimei", and the album was released(发行) in July and was named after his mother.
Chou grew up just with his mother. He did not talk much and did badly in many school subjects.
His mother noticed the boy's special interest in music and sent him to learn piano when he was only three years old. He loved it and kept on practicing.
Chou is not very handsome. He does not speak clearly when he sings or talks. But the singer has huge crowds of fans. "He is really good at music. It makes him attractive(有魅力的) to me," said Liu Jiajun, a Junior 2 student in NO.101 Middle School in Beijing.
"He is true to himself. He never follows others," said Zhang Yujie, a Junior l girl at Huaibei Middle School in Sihon9, Jiangsu Province.
Do you know how to play a game called" Musical Chairs"? It is easy to play and most people enjoy it. All you need are some chairs, some people and some way of making music. You may use a piano or any other musical instrument, if someone can play it. You may use a tape recorder. You can even use a radio.
Put the chairs in a row. The chairs may be put in twos, back to back. A better way is to have the chairs in one row with each chair facing in the opposite direction to the chair next to it.
The game is easy. When the music starts, the players walk round the chairs. Everyone goes in the same direction, of course, they should walk in time to the music. If the music is fast they should walk quickly. If the music is slow, they should walks lowly.
The person playing music cannot see the people in the game. When the music stops, the players try to sit on the chairs. If a person cannot find a chair to sit on, he drops out. Then, before the music starts again, one chair must be taken away. When the music stops again, one more player will be out.
At last, there will be two players and one chair. The one who sits on the chair when the music stops is the winner.
We know the mosquito very well. Mosquitoes fly everywhere. They can be found almost all over the world, and there are more, than 2, 500 kinds of them.
No one likes the mosquito. But the mosquito may decide that she loves you. She? Yes, she. It's true that male mosquito doesn't bite and only the female mosquito bites because she needs blood to lay eggs. She is always looking for things or people she wants to bite. If she likes what she finds, she bites. But if she doesn't like your blood, she will turn to someone else for more delicious blood. Next time a mosquito bites you, just remember you are chosen. You're different from the others!
If the mosquito likes you, she lands on your body without letting you know. She bites you so quickly and quietly that you may not feel anything different. After she bites, you will have an itch(痒) on your body because she puts something from her mouth together with your blood. By the time the itching begins, and she has flown away.
And then what happens? Well, after her delicious dinner, the mosquito feels tired. She just wants to find a place to have a good rest. There, on a leaf or a wall, she begins to lay eggs, hundreds of eggs.
Everyone (have) birthday. Ways of celebrating birthday are different.
In America, parents have a party their birthday kid. The birthday kid can get lots of presents and eat the birthday cake with friends. In Brazil, special candies are (need) for birthday. In England, the birthday kid (lift) up and putdown by his classmates (happy). In Thailand, two tall candies are lighted the night before birthday.
As we all know, it is getting popular to have cake on birthday in China. But parents usually cook big dinner for the kid on birthday. The birthday kid eats long noodles or eggs. Long noodles mean long life and eggs bring good luck.
People in different (Country) have different ways to celebrate birthday. It is important for us (celebrate) birthday. Everyone grows one year (old) after his or her birthday. Relatives and friends feel (happy) for his or her growing up.
