One night a man came to my house. He told me. "There is a family with eight 1. They don't have anything to eat." After I asked him where the family was. I took some 2 with me and left.
When I finally got to that family, I 3 those little children were so hungry that they could not 4 anything. There was no sadness in their eyes, just the deep pain of hunger. I gave the food to the mother. She took half of it, and then went out. When she 5, I asked her, "Where did you go?" She gave me this simple 6, "To my neighbours'. They are also 7!"
I was not surprised that she gave the food to others, because poor people are always very 8. But I was surprised that she knew her 9 were hungry when she was also in need of food. Usually, when we are in trouble or in danger, we always 10 ourselves first, and we have no time for others.

Cloudy 12 July
Today is an unlucky day for me. In the morning, my brother and I planned to visit our grandparents. They live in a small village, far away from us. I seldom visit them and I decided to visit them today. Before going out, one classmate of my brother's called and invited him to see a film. My brother is interested in films. So he decided to see the film with his classmate. I still wanted to visit my grandparents, so I took a taxi and asked the driver to take me there. Unluckily the driver lost his way. He drove the car around the village for a long time and then left me near a bus station. At that time I didn't find my wallet and I couldn't pay him. It was terrible. The driver asked me to call my grandparents, but nobody answered the phone. I had to go back home to get some money. What a pity! I paid a lot of money, but I couldn't visit my grandparents. Now I hope they can forgive (原谅) me.
Travelling around the world is a dream for many people, and a young couple from China has made their dream come true. They drove along the ancient Silk Road, from China to the UK.
Luo Chang and Ding Jie, a young couple from Guizhou Province, spent two months driving from their home in Shanghai all the way to London. The journey covered about 20,000 kilometres, and they crossed 14 countries and regions (地区).
Ding Jie said, "People were excited to see two travellers driving a foreign license car, appearing on their streets. We were stopped many times to take photos with them. Sometimes, when we couldn't understand each other's language, they would express their ideas with gestures(手势).
During their driving trip, they also spent many nights in local people's homes. Luo Chang said. "This is an amazing experience. We were driving on a highway or a country road to someone's home. Someone you've never met but was preparing dinner for you. We feel we have friends all over the world."
During the trip, Luo and Ding took nearly 10,000 photos and kept diaries to record the beautiful scenery(风景), the friendly people and the different customs on the way.
