Many people have forgetfulness (健忘). And, yes, I was one of those forgetful people before. So I've had to develop some kinds of ways to improve it.

How do you know you are forgetful?

You know it: when people ask whether you've found the answers they wanted, but you can't recall them; if you often have trouble remembering where your keys are, or where you have parked your car in the parking lot; if you miss appointments (约定); or if you can never remember a person's name even a few seconds after being introduced.

The following are some of my tips for fighting with forgetfulness.

Can't find the keys. Right now get a small bowl (碗) and set it on a table in your kitchen. When you come back home, always put your keys in this bowl. The "key" to remembering where your keys are is to always put them back in the same place at once ever}r time you come back home.

Can't find your car in the parking lot. I kept running into this problem until one day I solved it quite simply. Now I always park in the first or second row(排) to the left of the entrance (入口). That way, when I come out, I naturally start walking toward where my car is parked because it has become a habit.

    1. (1) We can know from the passage that the writer used to be_______.
      A . powerful B . forgetful C . humorous D . careless
    2. (2) When you______, you are NOT forgetful.

    3. (3) The underlined word "key" means "_______".
      A . middle part B . direction C . most important thing D . map
    4. (4) Where does the writer often park now?
A . On the first or second row to the left of the entrance. B . On the last row to the left of the entrance. C . On the first or second row to the right of the entrance. D . On the last row to the right of the entrance.
    5. (5) What does this passage mainly talk about?
      A . Memory. B . Forgetfulness. C . The car key. D . The parking lot.
