A few months ago, a strange thing (发生) in my life. I heard a strange (噪音) outside the window every night. I was scared and didn't know what to do. I thought there might be a (小偷) standing outside the window. I asked my parents to see what it was. But they didn't find (任何东西). They thought it might be the (风). But I didn't think so.
That lasted for a few days. I couldn't sleep (好). Sometimes I even couldn't fall (睡着的). One day, I (买) a flashlight(手电筒) in a market, At midnight, as soon as I heard the strange sound, I jumped out of my bed with the flashlight. I saw a black cat jumping up and down (在……附近) the window. He might want to make friends with my pet cat, but he couldn't get into my house.

Mr. White used to live in a small town, but he has a job in a big city, he moved there with his wife and two children last week.
One day, Mr. White was (wash) his car when neighbor came. The neighbor stopped and looked at the new car, Then Mr. White turned and saw him.
The neighbor said, "That's a new car. Is it (you)?"
"Sometimes," Mr. White answered.
The neighbor was (surprise).
"Sometimes?" he asked." What do you (mean)?"
"Well," answered Mr. White. "When there's a football game, it (belong) to my son, Mike. When there is a new movie, it belongs to my daughter. Ann. it looks nice clean, it belongs to my wife, Nancy. And when it needs (clean), it belongs to me."
Kaitlin Riffle's dream of ending poverty (贫困) started when she was visiting her father, who worked for the homeless.
"I never realized there were people in the world who didn't have a house or food before," said Kaitlin, who is now seventeen. "I knew there was something I had to do about that.
At age eight, she started raising money to build a playground. "It took me two years," Kaitlin said. "We started small. We wanted to do something to make a difference. "
In 2014, when Kaitlin was thirteen, she visited Central America, and saw people going hungry and families living in houses made of cardboard. That year, she set up Kids on a Mission, which has helped hundreds of people there.
"The rooms were smaller than my bedroom, but there would be eight people living in each one," Kaitlin said. "We also got to see the dirty rivers that those people were drinking out of."
Providing clean drinking water, food and clothes for people living in poverty is now an important task for Kids on a Mission. "This young lady is changing the hearts of people, and also changing the world,"" said the headmaster of Kaitlin's school.
It was such a beautiful day that I drove to go for a look in the country. On the way back home, my car 1.
It was out of gas on a lonely road far from a town, I decided to walk 2 I got help. I had walked almost a mile before I finally found a house near the road. I was glad to see it 3 it was getting dark.
I knocked at the door and a little old lady 4 long gray hair came out. She said. "I've been 5 for you for a long time, Come in, 6 is almost ready."
"But I only come for some gas," I answered. I couldn't understand 7 she was talking about.
"Oh, Alfred! Gas? You used to like tea," she said.
I quickly explained my problem， 8 she didn't seem to hear me. She just 9 calling me Alfred and talking about how long it had passed 10 she had seen me. She acted very strangely and I felt very 11. As soon as she went to get tea, I ran out of the house as fast as I could.
12 ，there was another house down the road and I was able to buy the gas I needed. When I told the man about my 13 , he said, "Oh, that's Miss Bronte. She lives by herself in that big house, She's strange. She's out of her mind. But don't worry. She won't hurt anybody. She is still 14 the man she was supposed to marry thirty years ago. The day before their wedding he left home and 15 came back because of the war."
