Harbin is the capital city of Heilongjiang Province. It lies 1 the northeast of China. It's a very beautiful city. It's 2 “Paris in the east. ” or “Ice City”. It's the political, economical and cultural center of Heilongjiang.
The summer here is short and cool 3 the winter here is long and very cold. Every year, there is an ice and snow festival. People 4all over China and foreign guests from other parts of the world come here to 5 the festival.
The sun island is 6 place of interest in Harbin. We often go there to relax 7. The city is historical and modern. It has many buildings of 8 style and many modern buildings, too. For example, Saint Sofia church and Dragon Tower, they are the best places 9. The Songhua River is very famous 10 the foreigners, you can boat and fish on it.
As a developing city, some great changes are taking place. I believe the city will be better in the future.
Jenny's apartment building is in the centre of the town. Jenny is very happy there because the building is in a very convenient(便利的)place.
Across from the building, there's a laundromat(自助洗衣店), a bank, and a post office. Next to the building, there's a drug store and a restaurant, there are two gas stations(加油站).
There is a lot of noise near Jenny's apartment building, because there are lots of cars on the street, and there are a lot of people walking on the sidewalk all day and all night.
Jenny isn't very upset(心烦意乱的)about the noise, though. Her building is in the centre of the town. It's a very busy place, but for Jenny, it's a very convenient place to live in.
