If you want your life to stand for peace(和平) and kindness, it's helpful to do kind, peaceful things.
We live in the country near San Francisco. It is a very beautiful place. But people throw rubbish out of their 1when driving on the roads. I think that will destroy the beauty.
I2pick up rubbish near our house with my two children. My daughters often say to me in a happy3, "There is some rubbish, Daddy.4the car." And then we will pull the car over and pick it up. It may seem strange, but we5it. We pick up rubbish in parks, on sidewalks, almost6
Once I saw a stranger(陌生人) picking up rubbish like us. He smiled at me and said, "I7you do it, and it seemed like a good idea."
Picking up litter is only one of the things we can do to8others. You can do other things like holding a door open for people or visiting lonely elderly people in nursing homes(养老院). Things like these are9but helpful.
These little acts of kindness can help you know how10it feels to be kind and helpful.
There are many national parks in Africa where you can go on safari(游猎). In the northeast of South Africa, there is a national park named Kruger National Park. It is about 20,000 square kilometers. Many kinds of plants and animals live in Kruger, including the famous "Big Five". For hunters, these five animals are some of the most difficult and dangerous to catch. Many travelers think mainly about seeing the Big Five while on safari. But there are many other interesting, and much smaller animals too.
Tanzania(坦桑尼亚) is another country with many parks where you can go on safari. The good place is Gombe Stream National Park in the west of the country. It has thick forest, old trees, and beautiful lakes. When you go deep into the forest, you can sit to wait for some animals to come near. You'll be glad to watch these animals playing, eating and communicating(交流) with each other.
Chobe National Park in the country Botswana is another popular place for safari. You can see one of the largest elephant groups in the world there. You can see elephants face to face in this national park. When you go around the park and feel the grass moving, there may be elephants. Then you can see them nearer. They walk past you to look for food.
Henry works in a factory. He comes from a poor family and was in school for only four years. He has to do hard work, but he gets less money. He likes to watch football matches very much and spends much time on them.
One afternoon there was a big football match on the playground. He borrowed some money from his friend and hurried there. There were a lot of people there. And a11the tickets were sold out(卖光). He was sorry for it. He saw a p01e(杆子)outside the playground and climbed it quickly. A policeman came and said, ''It is dangerous to stay on it! Come down!"
"Wait a minute, please!" Henry said and just at that moment the policeman heard cheers on the playground and asked in a hurry, "Which team has kicked a goal(进球)?'' ''Ours!'' "Wonderful! You can stay there. But take care!" the policeman said happily and left. When the match would be soon over, he came back again and asked, "Who has won?""Theirs,3:2""Come down, "the policeman said angrily. "Such a match is not worth watching!"
Henry had to come down. But soon they heard cheers again. The policeman said in a hurry, "Climb up quickly and see who has kicked a goal. "
