Alice isonly six years old. She comes from the US. She is very brave and clever.
Alice wokeup at four o clock last Sunday morning. Suddenly, she smelled somethingstrange. She looked up as quickly as she could. Then, she made a phone call tothe fire station. At that time, the smoke became thicker and thicker and theycould only stay in the bedroom. Her father tried hard to take some wet towels (毛巾) out of the bathroom. And then he asked Alice and her mother tocover their mouths and noses with the wet towels, lie down on the floor andwait for the firelighters (消防员). Several minutes later,the firefighters arrived. They put out the fire in time.
"Mydaughter did what 1 had taught her. She kept very calm and stayed brave whenshe found the fire. She saved the lives of our family. She is really great.We're proud of her," said Alice's father. Now, Alice is a heroine (女英雄) in many people's hearts.
