Many people think that TV programs have little or no educational value (教育意义). It is true that lots of programs are meaningless. However, some programs are good and we learn many things from them. Here are few of my favorite programs.

Now many people like the game Angry Birds. Here is a piece of good news for them-soon there will be a lot of Angry Birds-themed activity parks around the world.
The first two parks opened in Finland last year, and a few other parks are going to open in the UK. However, people still don't know when and where Angry Birds-themed activity parks will open in the UK.
“As a kind of online game, it is popular with people of all ages. It's really an interesting game. And the parks will be interesting places for everyone around the world,” said Peter Vesterbacka, an officer of Angry Birds Company. He also said, “We want to make Angry Birds a part of pop culture. June came and the hottest month of the yearbegan. A lot of travelers came to the city by the sea. All of the hotels werefull except Mr. Johnson's. The prices of all the rooms were the lowest in thecity but few people stayed there. The fire broke out three times in a year andfour travelers died in the accidents. Most workers left there and found jobs inother hotels. Mr. Johnson had to do most work himself.
Itwas eleven o'clock. Most rooms were still empty. Mr. Johnson worked for thewhole day and was very tired. He went to close the gate when a young man camein, with a big bag in his hand.
"Whatcan I do for you, sir?" asked Mr. Johnson.
"The cheapest room in yourhotel."
"OK,"said Mr. Johnson, "but it's on the top floor."
"It doesn't matter. I think you have alift in your hotel."
"Ofcourse, sir," said the manager. "It'll take you right there. By theway, may I keep your bag for you?"
"No,thanks. There's nothing expensive in it but a long rope."
Oh? What do you bring it with youfor?"
"I'mafraid another fire will happen in your hotel. If it does, I'll throw the ropeout of the window so that I'll be able to escape from (逃脱) it."
"Yes?"Mr. Johnson said in surprise. "So you have to pay for the bill before yougo to your room."
Last week, I read a book-Life of Pi. It's about a boy from India 1 Pi, who traveled across the Pacific Ocean in a lifeboat.
Pi's family lived in India and his father owned a zoo. When Pi was seventeen, they decided to 2 the zoo and moved to Canada. They sold 3 of the animals to several zoos and took the other animals on ship to Canada. 4 the way, they met with very heavy rain and the ship sank (沉没).
When Pi woke up after the terrible rain, he 5 that his family died and he was in a lifeboat with a hyena, a zebra, an orang-utan and a tiger. When he saw those big 6, Pi was scared. One by one, the animals in the lifeboat killed and ate each other. At last, there was only Pi and the tiger left. 7 for Pi, there was some food and water in the lifeboat, but he soon needed to start catching fish. He fed the fish to the tiger to 8 it killing and eating him. He also used what he learned from the zoo to control (控制) the tiger.
Pi and the tiger 9 227 days in the lifeboat. They were often hungry. Sometimes, Pi was happy and hopeful, but sometimes he felt 10 and afraid. At last, they arrived in Mexico.
A father and his daughter were flying a kite in the park. When they stopped, the young daughter saw an old man (sell) apples. She asked her father to buy her an apple. Her father didn't bring much money him, but it was enough to buy two apples. So, he bought two apples and gave them to his.
His daughter held one apple in her left hand and the other in the right hand. Then the father (ask) her if she could share one apple with him. When the girl heard this, she (quick) took a bite from one apple. And before father could speak, she took a bite from the second apple quickly, too.
The father was (surprise). He wondered why his daughter did like that. He thought maybe his daughter was too young to understand about (share) and giving. A smile disappeared from his face.
But suddenly his daughter with an in her left hand said, "Dad, please have this one. This one is much (sweet). "The father's smile came back after knowing why his daughter quickly took a bite from each apple.
Don't judge anything too quickly. Always spare some more time to understand things better.
