Alison Lapper. A very unusual painter, paints pictures for a living.
She doesn't use her (手) when she paints. She uses her mouth! Alison was born (没有) any arms. Her physical problem caused her to spend the first (十七) years of her life in a hospital. But this didn't stop her from making her dreams in life come true. She realized that even though she Was disabled, she could (表达) herself as freely as normal people, This was what got her to start drawing paintings.
Although Alison lives (相当) a different life from others, she never loses her heart. She (相信) that she can succeed as others. With great effort, her painting skills have reached a high (水平) and
her paintings do not look like they were drawn by(某人) who used her mouth. Alison has become a symbol of (勇气). Many disabled people have been cheered up by her (积极的) way of living and become more confident.
Bangkok, the capital of Thailand, is a city full of special sights. The tall glass shopping centres in the city look very modern. But( 在...后面) them are places where life hasn't changed for over 100 years- the canals(运河),which were (建造) many years ago. These canals are home to many Thai people who(从不) leave there.
There are four markets on the canals around Bangkok, and the (最古老的) and most popular one is in the town of Damonen Saduak
This market (开) early every morning. People get there(早地) by water taxi.
It's a noisy but wonderful place. Ladies sit in small boats, filed with (新鲜的) fruit and vegetables for sale. But the boats don't just sell food. Would you like a silk (领带)?A, traditional hat? Then just call and (指) at them.
After the noise and excitement of the market, continue along the canal, soon you'll see many wooden houses, colourful flowers and hear lovely (鸟) singing in the fruit trees, It's a peaceful way to finish your trip.
In my opinion, Norman Bethune is one of the greatest(英雄) in China. He came to China when it was at (战争) with Japanese. He was (实在) great, because he could continue to work without (休息) so that he could save those who are either (垂死的), or sick.
Besides, he made lots of (发明), among which were some special medical (工具). However, sadly, he died for our Chinese people because of a cut during an (手术). Anyway, (不管什么) he did for our Chinese people, he is still remembered in both China and (加拿大) today.
