One day, a boy had a fight with one of his classmates. Then he went to his 1 and told him his story angrily. "He is really bad," the boy said, "And I 2 him."
The grandfather said. " 3 me tell you a story. When I was a boy, I too, sometimes hated others for what they did."
As the boy4 carefully, the grandfather went on, "There are always two tigers inside my heart. One is 5 and kind. He gets on well 6 everything around him. But 7 is bad and unfriendly. Even the smallest thing will make him angry. He fights with everyone all the time, and for no reason. He can't think carefully 8 he always hates others. It is difficult to live with these two tigers inside my heart. They both try to control(控制)me."
The boy looked into his grandfather's 9 and asked, " 10 tiger always controls you, Grandfather?"
The old man said slowly and seriously, "The one that I feed. I always feed the good and kind tiger, so I never hate others and seldom get angry now.
Taboo is a social action that is not allowed. Every culture in the world has its own taboos. The breaking of a taboo sometimes makes people feel uncomfortable. I learned this through my own experience.
Last weekend, Wang Lin and I showed two foreigners around our city. Mr. Singh was from India and Mr. White from USA. When I held out my left hand to shake hands with him. Mr Singh seemed to be unhappy. Mr. White, however, was quite casual. He said hello to me with a big smile and a wave of his hand.
In the evening, we stopped at a restaurant for dinner. I noticed that Mr. Singh didn't touch the beef and Mr. White seemed not to like chickens' claws. During the meal, Wang Lin said sorry to Mr. Singh and continued to explain that we didn't know it was a taboo in India to shake one's left hand. Mr Singh explained that since oxen are sacred in India, people don't eat beef there. Mr. White joined in and said that it was not usual in the states for people to eat chickens' claws. He went on to say that Americans don't usually get into each other's personal space. Marriage, job and age are their taboos isn't it a good lesson to remember?
A habit is any action that we have performed so often that it becomes something that we do almost without thinking. Some of them are bad habits. People spend countless hours and dollars each year trying to get rid of these bad habits but often fail. Why? Change is hard work and there is no shortcut (捷径) to achieve it. However, there is still some advice for you to follow.
First, think about why you do it. That is, what's the result of doing this thing If your bad habit is shouting at people when you are unhappy or under pressure, what do you get from it? It may make you feel a little better for the moment. Or maybe you have a bad habit of leaving your homework undone. The result could be that you get more time to spend on the Internet.
Next, take a look on the other hand. What are you losing because of your habit? Shouting at other people is a bad habit because it makes people around you feel bad and unhappy. Leaving your homework be punished by your teacher. Having more Internet time means that you are losing the chance to learn the things that you need to learn. When you think that way, you'll find that it's not wise to keep your bad habit. Now it is time to make a decision. What will you choose? I'm sure you will choose to do what you think is more important.

It is Oct. 24. You pick up a bottle of milk. You see "Best Before Oct 23" on it. What do you do with it? Most people just throw it away. It's a big waste.
The United Nations says that over one third of food goes to the trash. But 795 million people on Earth don't have enough to eat. To change this, people have come up with great ideas. After all, the best place for food is our stomachs, not the trash.
People say, "There's no such thing as a free lunch." But they are wrong. Recently," share fridges" have come to cities like Shanghai and Quanzhou, Quick meals,' milk, cookies and cakes are staying in the fridges. It is just like your fridge at home. The food comes from families and shops nearby. And it is free for every passerby to enjoy. This great idea from the popular "food bank" practice.
We keep our extra money in a bank. In 1967 some people in the USA wanted to do the same with food. They then set up the world's free food
In many people's eyes, food past its sell—by date(保质期) becomes junk. But a company from the UK thinks differently. There is a "Best Before Date" on the food bag. Before that date, the quality (质量) is the best. But after that date, the food can be still OK to eat.
So, the Real Junk Food Project, a British company, gets such food from supermarkets and puts it in cafes again. They don't give the food a rice. You can give the amount of money you like if you don't want to spend money, you can help work there.
Tea has a long history with more than two thousand years. Its home town is certainly China.
At first tea was considered as a kind of good thing that could make people awake so that they could study comfortably. Many knowledgeable people thought it was helpful for their study because their minds could keep awake after drinking much tea. During the Tang Dynasty, tea was sent to—European countries first through the Silk Road. It was tea that made Chinese culture spread over in Western countries. The first book about tea was The Classic of Tea by Lu Yu in the Tang Dynasty. In the book, he described all the tea cultures. However, the tea culture changed into a kind of new form. Many people could find something bad in it in the Song Dynasty. Many people spent much time on it instead of thinking about the safety of their country. Between the end of the Yuan. Dynasty and the beginning of the Qing Dynasty plenty of people paid more attention to tea. People thought of it as the symbol of the spirit.
Nowadays, tea has become the most gentle and comfortable drink in France. It also becomes a helpful drink that is good for people's skin an health in England. Lots of Chinese look on tea as one of the most popular presents that they give others at important festivals.
