Letting kids learn more about science at an early age is easier than you think. It is happening all around us, and you can1everyday things to encourage your children's interest.
Most parents believe it is difficult to help their children with science. But you don't need a high scientific 2to teach your children science. All you need is that you're willing to try, to see the world, and to 3 the time to encourage their natural curiosity(好奇心).
You can help by having an active attitude towards science yourself. Then start4by asking your children questions about the things you see every day. And then listen to their answers without judging(评判)them, which will5 their confidence, and help you decide just what your children know or do not know.
Different kids have different interests, 6they need different kinds of science projects. Collecting rocks may interest your young daughter, but your older son may need something more to deal with it. Knowing your children is the best way to7enjoyable learning activities. Here are some more pieces of advice:
Choose activities that are the right8of difficulty. If you are not sure, pick something easier.
Read the suggested ages on any projects, books, and then make sure that the activity is9for your child. Let your child choose the project or activity himself. It's easy enough to ask rather than force him. Suggest choosing 2 or 3 things your child can do. When a child picks something he is10in, he will enjoy it and learn more from it.
Sammy looked out of the classroom window at a bird in a tree. He saw a worm (小虫) in the bird's mouth. "Wow!" he whispered as he looked at the bird eating the worm.
"Sammy!" his teacher Mr Maxwell said loudly.
Sammy jumped and knocked his science book off his desk. Everyone in the class laughed and Sammy blushed. This was the third time today he had been caught not paying attention to the science lesson. It was just so easy to get distracted (分心的) when people read aloud from the science textbook!
It wasn't that Sammy didn't like science. He loved to learn about machines, Earth and animals. He even thought bugs and plants were great. He wanted to go outside and see how a snake lived. He wanted to watch plants growing from the ground as they did last month. He just didn't want to read about these things.
Sammy thought Mr Maxwell would surely understand. "There was a bird with a worm in its mouth…" Sammy began. Then he saw the furious look on his teacher's face. Sammy decided that he had better stop talking before Mr Maxwell became any angrier.
Sweden, officially the Kingdom of Sweden, is a country in Northern Europe. Sweden borders (与……接壤) Norway and Finland, and is connected to Denmark by a bridge-tunnel. At about450,000 square kilometres, Sweden is the third-largest country in the European Union by area, with a total population of about 10.1 million. Sweden has a low population density (密度) of 22 persons per square kilometre with the population mostly living in the southern half of the country. Southern Sweden is mainly agricultural, while the north is heavily forested.
Sweden was discovered as an independent country during the Middle Ages. In the 17th century, the country became bigger to form the Swedish Empire. The empire grew to be one of the great powers of Eeurope in the 17th and early 18th centuries. The eastern half of Sweden, present—day Finland, was lost to Russia in 1809. The last war in Sweden was in 1814. Since then, Sweden has been at peace, remaining a largely neutral (中立的) nation. The country played a good role during World Wars I andⅡ, taking in refugees (难民). With the ending of the Cold War, Sweden joined the European Union.
Camping is one of the most popular outdoor activities. Now, most people are under too much pressure and like going outdoors to relax. Other activities, like hunting and fishing, are often connected with camping trips.
It's also a good idea to spend time camping with your family during a holiday. That will help you make some of the best memories with the family. Here are some things you have to consider when planning your camping trip.
The first thing that you need to think about is deciding on the camping destination (目的地). For most people who like camping, the best place to choose is the spot that they haven't visited before. As soon as you get to your destination, there will be a lot you have to do, for example, putting up your tent.
Of course, food should be considered too. You'd better carry some convenient food like biscuits, nuts and boiled eggs.
When all the things are done, fun activities should be planned. It's a good chance for you to spend time with your family. Lots of open space is perfect when you want to do something as simple as letting your kids ride their bicycles. If your kids are old enough, activities like fishing and horse-riding are also good to choose.
These are a few ideas about having fun camping. Once you get ready for it, you don't need to worry about anything. Go ahead and be a happy camper.

A few days ago, I ran into a stranger as he passed by. I said sorry to him. And we were very polite. Then we went on our way after saying goodbye.
Later in the kitchen at home, as I cooked our meal, my daughter Betty walked up to me. When I turned around, I nearly knocked her down." Get out of the way!" I shouted angrily. She ran away, crying.
That night, when I lay in bed, my husband said to me, "You were so rude to Betty. Go and look around on the kitchen floor, and you'll find some flowers there. Betty brought those for you. She picked them herself--pink, yellow, and your favourite blue."
When I heard this, I thought deeply, "While meeting with a stranger, I was calm and polite, but with my daughter, I was not patient." I felt sad and tears began to fall.
I quietly went to Betty's bed." Wake up, my dear!"I said." Are these the flowers you picked for me?" She smiled, "I found them by the tree. I knew you liked them, especially the blue." I said, "I am so sorry that I treated you that way today." And she whispered(悄声说), "Mommy, that's okay. I still love you anyway." I kissed her and said, "I love you too and I do love the flowers."
That day Betty gave me a lesson on how to get along with each other in the family. I spent much time on work before and didn't realize how important family life was. I decided to do better in the future.
