Learning English is important to you. But what about the rest of your family? Teaching English to your family members is a great way to improve your own English. By teaching someone else, your (speak) English will become (good). Learning something new together can bring you (close) as a family, too.
Here are some tips:
Movie Night: Choose an English movie subtitles(字幕). Stop the movie! in a while to help your family members learn new words and (express).
Sports Night: Get active in English. Go bowling, skating, or hiking once a week and teach a few words. For example, "You fell down."" or "Your skates look cool.”
Novel Night: Choose a (class) English story that your family members may know. Read one chapter out aloud each week. It is not important the other members understand the words. Listening to the language is a good start.
Create an English Family Tree together. This is a great way to get your family (interest) in English. Teach your family members what each person is (call) in English. Write the words in English and share stories together.
Have you ever been cycling(骑自行车运动)? This spring my elder brother and I (spend) a long weekend cycling in the countryside. We rode (slow) along because we didn't want to break any speed records, or do sports. We just wanted (get) some fresh air and a break from schoolwork. We really had a great time (ride) along country roads. And there was one of the best things about our trip that made us happy: every few (kilometre) there was a village where we could find everything we needed.
All the local people were really friendly. However, the second day, something happened. We were going down the hill when my brakes(刹车) started making noise, but I didn't mind at all. At midnight we were woken by the noise in the hotel. We were tired we set off the next morning, but soon felt cheerful when the sun came out.
What we (enjoy) most about cycling was that it was simple and fun. I think nothing is (good) than cycling if you're looking for a break that is active and cheap.
Why not have a try?
To make her 100th birthday exciting and special South African woman Harwood had a skydiving (跳伞) in the air, not enough to her. She wanted to make it even more exciting by doing a shark cage diving(潜水).
With the help another person, she made the jump on Saturday near the north of Cape Town. 15 family (member) and friends in groups of three were also in the air with Harwood. red jumpsuit(跳伞服), Harwood looked very young. She said it was seeing all the others around her. And this was her (three) skydiving. She did her first when she was 92 years old.
Then, she decided her another wish—doing a shark cage diving. It was much more nervous than skydiving, even young (man) were afraid of doing that. On Monday, she (go) into a cage, and the workers put the cage in the water with fish meat around it. When sharks smelt the fish, they would open mouths and eat the fish, it was really dangerous.
Chinese people have been celebrating the Mid-Autumn Festival and enjoying mooncakes for (century). There are many traditional folk stories about this festival. However, most people think that the story of Chang'e is most touching. It tells after. Hou Yi shot down the (nine) suns, a goddess gave him magic medicine to thank him. Hou Yi planned (drink)it with his wife, Chang'e. But a bad man Pang Meng, tried to steal the medicine when Hou Yi was out. Chang'e wasn't ready give it to him and then drank it all. She became very light and (fly) up to the moon. Hou Yi was sad and missed her very much. One night, he found that the moon was so bright and round he could see his wife there. He quickly laid out her favourite fruits and desserts in the garden. (how) he wished that she could come back!
After this, people started the (traditional) of admiring the moon and sharing mooncakes that carry (they)wishes to the families they love and miss.
