Sometimes animals can help people a lot. I am in a busy neighbourhood. And I 1 in a tall building. There are ten 2 in the building and I live on the fourth floor. I have a 3. She is Grandma Li who is seventy. Her 4 passed away and she has no children, so she lives alone. She likes pets very much. She has a cute dog in her house. She 5 it very much and the dog is also very 6 to her. And the dog is very quiet and seldom barks.
I often 7her when I am free. Sometimes I play with the dog for a long time. Last night, when I was asleep, it was unusual that the dog kept barking outside my house. Then I thought there might be something wrong in Grandma Li's house. So I 8 opened the door. As soon as I 9, I saw a lot of smoke coming from the window of her house.
The house must be on fire. I 10 119 quickly and then the firemen came. They put out the fire soon and Grandma Li was saved. Luckily, she was not badly hurt.
My guide dog, Amelia, has been with me for more than three years. She has given me courage to enjoy life.
My most difficult time was when I knew" I got cancer(癌症). Amelia was there for me all the way. She helped me beat(打败) the illness. For seven weeks, I had to have radiation therapy(放射) five days a week. Each time we arrived in front of the hospital, Amelia knew where we were. All I had to say was: Amelia, take Mommy to the room. After a few trips, honestly, I even didn't need to tell her which room we had to get into. She knew the way. Without Amelia's help, I would not have the courage to go through the hardest time.
Today our journey still goes on with fun and happiness. In the past few years, we have visited many places and have met many wonderful people. To me, Amelia is not only a dog but a family member. She always brings me happiness and I love her so much.
