A generous gap(代沟) has become a serious problem. I read a 1about it in the newspaper. Some children have killed themselves after 2 with parents. I think this is because they don't often have a talk with each other. Parents now 3 more time in the office, 4 they don't have much time to stay with their children. As times passes, they both feel that they don't have the5 topic(题目) to talk about. I want to tell parents to be more with your 6, get to know them and 7 them. And for children, show your8 to your parents. They are the people who love you. So9 them your thoughts. In this way, you 10 have a better understanding of each other.
Many people go to school for an education. They learn languages, history, politics, geography, physics, chemistry and mathematics. Others go to school to learn a skill so that theycan make a living.
School education is very important and useful. Yet, no one can learn everything from school. A teacher, no matter how much he knows, cannot teach his students everything they want to know. The teacher's job is to show his students how to learn. He teaches them how to read and how to think. So, much more is to be learned outside school by the students themselves.
It is always more important to know how to study by oneself than to memorize some facts or a formula(公式). It is actually quite easy to learn a certain fact in history or a formula in math. But it is very difficult to use a formula in working out a math problem.
Great scientists before us didn't get everything from school. Their teachers only showed them the way. Edison didn't even finish primary school. But they were all so successful. They invented so many things for mankind. The reason for their success is that they knew how to study. They read books that were not taught at school. They would ask many questions as they read. They did thousands of experiments. They worked hard all their lives, wasting not a single moment. Above all, they knew how to use their brain.
It isn't MY Fault
It's Monday today. Miss White comes into the classroom. She sees Mike, the tallest student, is standing in front of the blackboard and speaking like a teacher. The boy does not see her and is still standing there. The children begin to laugh and he looks round and finds Miss White is standing behind him, so he runs back to his row.
“Morning, class,” says Miss White.
“Morning, Miss White.”
Ann stands up and says, “Sam and I are on duty today. Sixteen boys and eighteen girls are here.”
“Sixteen boys? Who doesn't come today?” ask Miss White.
“Bill and hisfamily move to London”
“Oh, I see,” Miss White says. But she sees a cat on theteacher's desk. She asks, “Who draws the cat here?”
No child answers, but they're looking at Mike. So she says,“Can you answer the question, Mike?”
The boy has to say , “ I'm sorry, I do.”
“ You're the worst child in your class!”
“ It isn't my fault. Why do you let Bill leave US?”

In the world today, all of the people need to have fun when they are free. We can't work all the time if we are going to keep healthy and enjoy life.
Everyone has his own way of relaxing. Perhaps the most popular form (形式) is to take part in sports. There are team sports, such as basketball and football. There are also individual(个人的) sports, such as swimming and running. Skating and mountain climbing are the most popular recreation (消遣) for people who like to be outdoors.
Not everyone who enjoys sports likes to take part in them. Many people like watching them on TV or listening to them on the radio. So many people like some indoor relaxation, such as watching TV, singing and dancing.
It doesn't matter if we like indoor recreation or take part in outdoor sports. It is important for everyone to relax from time to time, and enjoy some themselves.
