This morning, Mr. Lee gets up at 7:40. Oh no! He must be late for class. Mr. Lee doesn't have breakfast or take a shower. He runs to the bus stop quickly. Many people are at the stop, but there is no bus for Mr. Lee to take. So Mr. Lee takes the taxi (出租车).

"Yes, we can," the class says happily.

    Little Mary is a good girl. She's in Grade 2 now. Her home is not far from school, but she is often late for class because she likes watching TV, listening to music in the evening and she goes to bed very late. So she can't get up on time in the morning.

    This term Mr. White, Mary's uncle, works in her school. He teaches Grade 2 history. He often tells Mary to follow the school rules and come to school on time.

    Today Mary gets up late again. When she comes to school, it is 8:15. Her uncle is waiting for her at the school gate. "You are ten minutes late for the first class." Mr. White says angrily (生气地). "Why are you often late for class?" "Every time when I get to the street corner(街角)，I always see a sign(标志). It says, 'SCHOOL-GO SLOW! (慢行)'" says Mary.

    I was born in Lizhuang. It's a small town in Sichuan. Many famous (著名的) people lived there for a long time. Liang Sicheng and Lin Huiyin were two of them. Today, lots of visitors come here on vacation.

    And I lived with my grandparents here. Their house was big but old. The wall was white and tall. There were five rooms in the house.

    I felt interested in Lizhuang. Sometimes, Grandpa and I rowed a boat on it Sometimes, Grandma and I washed clothes in it. This river was very important to the people in Lizhuang.

    There weren't many children in Lizhuang. We liked to walk around the old town after school. We often played hide and-seek(捉迷藏). It was interesting.

    I am very happy. But I want to go back to Lizhuang one day. I want to see my grandparents and friends again.

My mother works all day so I have to take care of my younger brother. My little brother is about four years old and he1our mother all the time.
