Cindy Vaporetto is a kind of boat that can run on the water in Venice, Italy. It travels between Venice and nearby islands. My brother and I take the vaporetto to school on school days. It often takes us 20 minutes. Vaporetto works 24 hours a day. | Judy In San Francisco, the USA, you can see the trolley cars run on tracks on the streets of the city. Look! The new trolley car with old-fashioned wooden seats and modern mobile TVs is 12 meters long and can carry 80 passengers at one time. It runs on electricity. I get to school by trolley car. It takes me about 45 minutes because it doesn't run very fast, although my home is not far from my school. |

It's fine today. My friends and I had some bread for breakfast. Then we went to Tian'anmen Square in the morning. It was great! In the afternoon, we went swimming. I taught some children to swim. It was interesting.

It's cool today. We went to the Great Wall. It's very long and great. We were very tired and hungry in the evening. So we ate a lot for dinner. I ate a large bowl of noodles and some chicken. The food was good.
Sunday, April 13th, Rainy
It's rainy today, so we stayed at the hotel. At noon, I ate two hamburgers and some vegetables for lunch. After lunch, we watched a movie on TV. It was boring.

Amy went to China with her parents for her summer holiday last year. They visited some big cities like Beijing, Guangzhou, Kunming and Qingdao.
In Beijing, they visited the Great Wall, Tiananmen Square and the Palace Museum. They also went to the zoos and the parks. The weather was fine and cool. They had a good time in the parks. They also took lots of photos there. In Guangzhou, they visited some museums. They were very interesting but kind of crowded. In Kunming, the weather is never too hot in summer. They visited the Stone Forest, the Golden Temple and EXPO Garden. In Qingdao, they went to the beach and had great fun playing in the water.
"It's very interesting to visit China and I learned a lot about Chinese history," Amy said. "If I have another chance, I'll come back to China again."
Julie is a cute girl. She has big eyes and straight blonde hair.
It is a Sunday. Julie is playing with her friend, Becky, in the living room. Julie's mother wants to get some fruit for them. She falls down(倒下) on the way to the kitchen. She soon calls 911.
When Julie is waiting for help, she does CPR(心肺复苏术) on her mother with Becky. Soon the doctors come and take Julie's mother to hospital.
Julie is only eight years old. How does she know CPR? Julie says, "My mother and I often watch a TV show every Saturday and I learn it from the show. I really like that show. I want to be a doctor when I grow up(长大)."
Julie's mother thanks her daughter for calling 911 and doing CPR on her.

I went to Beijing Zoo. It was really (interest). I saw some baby pandas, lions and tigers. I liked them very much they were cute. After visiting the 200, I went to the Great Wall Jack by bus. Nelson Mandela is a great man. He was born on (七月) the eighteenth, 1918. His parents couldn't read or write, but they (相信) it was important to study and sent Mandela to school, He was (成功的) at school and finished his three-year lessons in just two years, During that time in South Africa, the black and white people couldn't live with (各个) other and had very different lives. Many black people didn't have jobs and were (贫穷的). Mandela noticed it and (带来) hope to them. In 1944, Mandela started to work (一起) with his friends to help the black. The police tried to stop them. They caught Mandela and put him into prison. But the (危险的) life never changed his dream. He became the first black (总统) in South Africa after 27 years in prison. He died in 2013, but his life story always (教) people to try their best to make dreams come true.
