All schools have their own rules. The rules change from one school to another. Some schools are much stricter than others. There are also some rules that are strange or funny to us. Here are some funny school rules:
Strict Japanese rules
Most schools ask students to wear uniforms, such as sports suits or skirts. But Japanese schools even have rules about the colour of the underwear! They also require that girls' socks should be folded (被折叠) in a certain way and that boys' heads should be shaved (剃) .
Other Japanese schools tell students that they can't watch the films after sunset.
Different shoes in the USA
At some American schools, students have to change their shoes when they go into the schools every day. This makes sure that students won't fall over on the floors and will keep the schools clean.
No strange hair in the UK
Strange hairstyles are not allowed in some British schools. But they may allow students to wear certain hairstyles during the World Cup years. After the World Cup, their teachers will ask them to go to the barber's at once.

My problems s after I went to a boarding (寄宿) school. I was only 14, and at first I missed my family a lot. I often called them and cried on the p, But after two weeks, I found I enjoyed being with my c at school. I had many friends who were boys. I t them as my best friends—but only friends. I never guessed my friendships with boys would become a problem. Then, three months later, my friends t me that some teachers and girls said I was hanging out (闲逛) with boys all day long in order to get attention from them. Seven months after that, the head teacher Mr Wang asked the class to c some students to join the Students' Union. I thought I could win for I was doing well in school. I came f in maths and English exams. A week later, the list came out and it didn't i me. I was sad.
Mr Wang came to me and said, “Don't be sad. I know you're e ! Maybe you are a little distant (疏远的) from the girls in our class. They don't know much about you, so some of them didn't choose you. It doesn't matter. Do your b to get along well with everyone and I think you'll make it next time. “
A group of high school students from the United States has planted hope by cleaning up an empty lot (一块地) in their neighbourhood.
The students are from Buchtel High School in Akron, Ohio. The empty lot, which is owned by a local banker, was filled with grass and poison ivy (毒常春藤) . As a project for the school's biohealth (生物健康) class, eight students decided to turn the empty lot into a space that would improve the mental (心理的) and emotional (情感的) health of people who lived near it.
They first came up with a design, did research and created 3D models of their plans. Ideas were then presented and the school leaders picked the winning plans. Finally, the students brought those plans to life.
Now when you walk into the lot, you can see a wood walkway leading to a purple iron bench. A few beautiful plants are already in the ground. There is also a hopscotch (跳房子游戏) board that is painted bright blue. A wall painting with the words “Love” and “Peace” has taken shape on a back fence, decorated with the students' handprints. The rest of the fence is painted grey to cover plain wood.
The students said they painted the bench purple because they found that purple has a comforting feeling for people. They thought kids could go there and sit together, communicate with each other in peace and stay out of trouble.
As for the hopscotch board, it was set up for a group of eight to ten school-age kids who lived in the neighbourhood but had nowhere to play.
“It gives the neighbourhood a little hope and a little beauty, “said Lyle Jenkins, a member of the Neighbourhood Network. A lot of people love the neighbourhood and have great hopes for things getting better.
