My parents are busy cleaning the house because Christmas is coming. I have nothing to do. I go to the yard (院子) and see my grandfather's car. It is black. If (如果) I paint (油漆) it blue, I'm sure it will look nicer. I get some paint and a brush behind the house. My father leaves them there. I paint the car.
"Stop, Jack!" my mother shouts. She runs out of the house and stops me. She is afraid that my grandfather will be angry.
In the afternoon, my grandfather comes back and looks at my paintings on the car, he laughs happily, "Jack, that's the nicest car! I love it! Is it a Christmas gift (礼物)?"
Sometimes adults (成年人) don't stop to see things through children's eyes. They may miss (错过) so many beautiful things in the world.
Bear Betty,
Thank you very much for your email. I know you'd like to visit the National Museum in our city. It is a big and famous museum. Let me tell you the way.
When you drive out of your house, go along Hongxing Street. Turn left at the third turning and drive into Nanjing Road. You'll see RT Mart on your right. The museum is opposite (对面的) the mart.
The museum is open from 9:30 a.m to 5:30 p.m every day. There are lots of old things and nice pictures in it. I hope you can have a good time there. But you cannot take photos in the museum. So don't bring a camera (照相机). There is a small shop in the museum. You can buy some souvenirs (纪念品) for your friends in it.
Yours,
Jenny
