A crash (cause) by a driverless car led to a heated argument about some advances in technology. What do you think of the advances in technology?
On the one hand, some groups of people around the world live happily in the (absent) of new technology. They do not own or drive cars, watch TV, or use the Internet. They have lived (main) as farmers since the 18th century, and they will probably (live) the same way in the distant future. They advocate (lead) a simple life with an emphasis on hard work, family, and community. On the other hand, new technology (provide) people everywhere with many benefits over the years. For example, the latest weather-tracking computer programmes give people lots of warnings about potential natural (disaster), which saves many lives.
Personally, I have benefited quite a lot from (technology) advances. My health monitor, I wear all the time, has also helped me get into the best shape of my life. Of course, when new technology changes the way we live, it can be scary prospect. Nevertheless, I will always look on the positive side of change and accept it rather than resist it.
