Where would I like to go on vacation? Unlike most others, I'm willing to go to a place that is 1! So I hope to visit Iceland or Canada. There I want to find a heated2with a swimming pool. I would also like to have a room or bed to3. I like to sleep by myself.
Outside of the hotel I wish there would be perfect hills4I can ski and a large and wide place for having snowball fights. I5the vacation would last at least a week, too. And I can have at least a different fun activity each day,6snowman-making competitions, horse- back rides and snowball fights!
7food, I think it would be meat like beef, chicken and fish. I also love pancakes. So I hope8I wake up every morning, I can smell the baked pancakes. Sweet ice cream at night would also be9so I can go to sleep with a nice stomach full of ice cream. At last I would like TV and Internet for the10when I felt like staying in.
This is just my favourite vacation- a perfect vacation I dream of!
Romero has already reached the top of six other world famous high mountains. He climbed the first-Africa's Kilimanjaro(乞力马扎罗山)-with his parents when he was 10.
Jordan said he had the idea of climbing those mountains when he saw a painting in his school. The painting showed all seven mountains.
"I just wanted to do something big, and this was some- thing I wanted to do for myself," he said.
His father, Paul, is an experienced mountain climber. But he said the idea was his son's. "We're just packing(收拾) the bags, going after him around the world," Paul said.
Mount Qomolangma is 8,844 metres high. Jordan would climb with his parents and two guides. He said they would not take big risks(冒险). They would turn around if they saw problems such as bad weather. He hopes to reach the top by May.
"This may be the first of many tries," he said. "It could take a few years, but I've made up my mind to do it. If I don't reach the top this time, I will try next time."
The youngest person to climb Qomolangma until now was Temba Tsheri, 16, from Nepal(尼泊尔),in 2001.
When you are planning for a travel alone, you might need to work out a plan. Sometimes a good journey will give you the most fun at the least cost. The advice below might help you save money on your travels in China.
Usually, you will pay quite a lot of money on all kinds of transport. Travel by train if you have enough time. You can save a lot in this way. From Chongqing to Beijing, a round-trip flight ticket costs about 2,800 yuan, while a round-trip train ticket costs only 800 yuan.
It is also important to choose the most proper transport after you have arrived at your destination. But do you choose to take the city buses or taxis if you want to go to the places you want to visit? A good suggestion is to buy a map and draw the most proper transport route.
The hotel can also cost a lot if you do not have good choices. A good way is to book your room through a travel agent or an Internet travel service before you start travelling.
It is easy to buy whatever you want in China. You can buy a large number of souvenirs in large stores or shopping malls in China. If you want to shop for souvenirs to take home, you can look around in some of the open markets because the prices there are much lower. Your local travel guides are the best help when you go to these places.
Marco Polo was from Venice, Italy. In 1271, at the age of 17, Marco went on a trip with his father and uncle to China. Today people often travel to different places around the world. But it was very hard for people from Europe to visit China then. After three and a half years, the Polos reached China in 1275.
While he was there, Marco Polo worked for Kublai Khan, the emperor(皇帝) of China. He was able to learn and experience many things that were new to Europeans. In his diary, he wrote," Kublai Khan's palace is the greatest I've ever seen. The streets of the new capital, Daidu, are so straight and so wide." Paper money also took him by surprise, since it was not yet in use in the West at that time. Homes were heated with "black stones... which burn like wood." Those stones were coal, and most of the Europeans knew little about it then.
After 17 years in China, Marco and his family finally returned to Venice in 1292. After he returned home, Marco completed a book about his trip, full of facts about his wonderful experiences in China.
To travel around the world is the dream of many adventurous people. But very few people can afford a global tour because hotels, food and airplane tickets are too expensive. Some people, however, have thought of some ways to realise their dreams.
Laura Cody and Tanbay Theune, a couple from Britain, decided to travel around the world. They have found a good way to pay for their trips. They look after pets for rich house owners. In exchange, they can stay in the houses for free. They have looked after horses, cows, cats, dogs and fish. In two years, the couple has been to Australia, Germany, Spain and Italy. They have stayed in big cities and small villages. The home owners are usually very generous and have given them food, wine and day trips.
Another person who tries to realise her travel dream is photographer Rhiannon Taylor. She travels around the world to visit, review and take photos of the best hotels. She shares the places she stays and the food she eats on the Internet with tens of thousands of followers.
With these ways of making money, travelling around the world is no longer a dream. More and more young people are thinking creatively to make their dream come true.
Mike and John are good friends. Both of them like travelling very much.
One day, when they were travelling through a desert, they quarreled(吵架) with each other. Mike was very angry and hit John in the face. John was hurt, ,he wrote in the sand, "Today my best friend hit me in the face.
Then they went on walking and found an oasis(绿洲). It was very hot, . John was not good at swimming and he started drowning(溺水) after a few minutes. . When John got up, he wrote on a stone, "Today my best friend saved my life."
Mike felt a little surprised and asked," Why, after I hurt you, you wrote some words in the sand, and now you wrote on a stone?" John smiled and said, "When a friend hurts us, we should write it down in the sand. . However, when something great happens, we should write it on the stone of our memory and remember it forever." . He learned what true friendship was.
Let's learn to write in the sand and on the stone.

Bashert is a gentle, golden dog. In her mind, there is no human problem so big she can't lick(舔) better. When her owner is sad, she licks him to make him happy. When her owner feels upset, she licks him again to encourage him.
"When I go to camp, I miss Bashert a lot," Bashert's owner Aaron Richards, a 14-year-old boy in the US, told the New York Times.
Animals like Bashert play an important part in people's lives. Whether it is a dog, a cat or a goldfish, people always enjoy their companionship(陪伴). But do you know that people also love animals for other reasons?
When staying with animals, people can relax. Compared to the human world, the animal world seems to, be simpler. People don't need to worry about being judged by words or behaviour. For children, they can forget grades and class performance. What they feel is warmth and acceptance without any conditions.
Animals, especially pets, also teach people to learn responsibility. Besides feeding and cleaning them, you also need to care for them. When they are sick, take them to an animal hospital. When they feel lonely, just play with them for a while. When they get old, you should spend time with them and let them know that you will always love them. Such a caring heart also tells you to treat People in a nice way. Then, you will find yourself a much beloved person.
