Christmas was coming. Mr Smith had no money to buy any presents for his children. He was quite(worry) about it.
"We have only a cock," said Mrs Smith one day. "You'd betterit to the town.(sell) it there and buy some cakes and sweets for our children."
"It's a good!" the man said. He caught the cock the next morning andit into a box. It was difficult for him(walk) because thick snow was here and there on the road. Two hours' journey was really very(tired), so he wanted to have a rest. He put the box onto the ground and sat down.
"The air outside the box is(fresh) than that in the box," the man said to(him). "I'd better let the cock walk outside for a minute, or it'll die."
