Dear Miss Hooper,
I'm writing to thank you for your help this year. There were lots of subjects(主题)in class, but you made sure that I could understand every one.To tell the truth, you're the best teacher I've met.You explain things so clearly, and are also so kind.I really enjoyed every minute of your class.
There were so many best parts this gear.Whatever the subject, you made it fun and interesting to everyone. All of your students found learning new things so easy because of you.I really believe you have a great teaching skill,You should be very proud(自豪的)of the way that you help children learn. It is because of you that I've decided to become a teacher when I grow up.
I have mixed feelings about school next year.I'm sad that you won't be my teacher anymore. However, I'm happy that other children will get to share your knowledge(学问).I'm sure that they'll thank you for your good work.
I didn't enjoy school much before this year.I was new to the school this year.At my old school, I found learning quite difficult. The last nine months have changed all of that.I'm now confident(自信的) and looking forward to the next school year.
Thank you once again for all of your help. You are really a great teacher and you've helped me greatly.I hope that we can share the same classroom again one day.
Yours,
Jacob Maclean
A month ago the Brown family, who lived in Lyndhurst, had a special experience. She was making coffee while her husband, Frank, was watching a comedy program on television. Upstairs(在楼上) their young daughter, Ruth, was asleep in her room and their son, Mark, was doing some homework on his computer. However, at the end of the afternoon, it started to change. Soon, it began to rain very heavily. Tina looked out of the kitchen window and saw big storm clouds in the sky. The Browns' dog, Tilly, was in the back garden. Shortly afterwards, Tina saw lightning(闪电) in the sky and then everything in the house went dark. Frank was unhappy because the television didn't work. Then they heard baby Ruth crying. Frank went upstairs to look after the baby but when he climbed the stairs(楼梯) , there was a loud sound and the house seemed to shake. A big tree from their garden fell through the window of Ruth's room!Luckily it missed the baby by just half a meter!
A. Mark shouted from his room because he couldn't use his computer. B. Suddenly there was a loud crack of thunder(雷声) and Tilly quickly ran into the house. C. The little baby Ruth was just two years old and liked playing with Tilly. D. Frank ran into Ruth's room and he saw something shocking. E. The weather had been very good all day with a lot of sunshine. F. It was evening and after dinner Tina was in the kitchen. |
