Three fish live in a pond(池塘). One evening, some fishermen walk past the1and see the fish. "There2some fish in the pond, " they say to each other happily. "we must3tomorrow morning and get these fish." Then the fishermen4away.
The first big fish hears this and says, "Do you hear5the fishermen say? We must leave this pond6".
The7fish says, "Yes, you are8. We must leave the pond."9the third fish just laughs. "Don't10. I'm not going. My luck will keep me safe(安全的)."

A woman buys a parrot from a pet shop. But she wants to give the parrot back to the shop the next day.
"This parrot doesn't talk." she tells the shopkeeper.
"Does he have a mirror(镜子)in his cage(笼子)?" The shopkeeper asks, "Parrots love mirrors."
The woman buys a mirror and leaves. The next day she comes back again, saying that the parrot still doesn't talk.
"How about a ladder(梯子)? Parrots love ladders." the shopkeeper says. The woman buys a ladder and leaves. But again she is back the next day.
"Does your parrot have a swing(秋千)? No? Well, if he starts swinging, he'll talk a lot." the shopkeeper says.
The woman then buys a swing and leaves.
When she walks into the shop the next day, she begins to cry, "The parrot dies(死亡)."
The shopkeeper looks very surprised. "I'm sorry to hear that. Tell me. Does he ever say anything?" he asks.
"Yes, right before he dies," the woman answers, "he asks me in a low voice(嗓音), ‘Don't they sell any food at that pet shop?'"
In Hong Kong, there is a clothes shop called Green Ladies. What makes it special is that there are only second-hand clothes in it.
Wendy is the manager of Green Ladies. "Hong Kong is a great place for shopping and the new clothes are not very expensive. Many women like buying clothes and they wear different clothes every day of a week. Some of them often throw away(丢弃) some clothes because they don't like them any more. Some of the clothes are even new. I think it's a waste to do that," she says. "How about sending these clothes to Green Ladies? Others can buy these second-hand clothes and you can get some money."
When people take their clothes to Green Ladies, the shop workers will check the clothes to make sure they're right for sale first. After someone buys the clothes, the shop will give the owner(主人) 30% of the money.
People can see reminders(提示) like " Try before you buy" and "Do you have the same clothes at home?" in Green Ladies. When the customers see them, they will think carefully before they buy the clothes. By doing so, Green Ladies hopes to change people's habits of shopping too much.

This is the year 2070. I have just turned 50 years old, but I look like a person of 85. I get bad kidney (肾脏) problems because I don't have enough water to drink. I'm afraid I live to the end of the world.
I remember when I was five years old, everything was very different. There were lots of trees in the parks. I could enjoy a shower for half an hour. At that time, women all had beautiful hair. Now, we have to cut hair off from our heads so that we can keep them clean with no water.
I remember there were "Save Water" warnings (警告) in many places, but nobody thinks about them. Now, all the rivers and lakes are either dry or polluted (被污染的). Water is more expensive than gold.
Years ago, doctors asked people to drink eight glasses of water a day. Nowadays, I can drink only half a glass. Most of us are sick and lots of young people look old.
Because there are no trees, we have to pay for air. It is not very fresh, poor people die young.
