This is Fan Bingbing. 1 is a Chinese (中国的)girl. And she is a high school student. She is fourteen. She is in 2 Three, Grade Eight. She is in Row(排) Five. 3 number is 4. She 4 a round face. Her 5 are big. That is Ann. Ann is 6 English girl. She is thirteen 7. Her nose is 8, but her 9 is small. They are in 10 class. Ann and Fan Bingbing are friends.
Mr. Turner liked fishing. It was his favorite sport. He often fished for hours without catching anything. But this did not worry him. Some fishermen couldn't catch fish. Sometimes they caught old boots or rubbish. Mr. Turner was even worse than the fishermen. He never caught anything–not even old boots. After he spent whole morning on the river, he always went home with an empty bag.
"You must give up fishing!" his friends said, "It's a waste of time."
"But they don't realize one important thing. I'm not really interested in fishing. I am only interested in sitting in a boat and doing nothing at all. It can make me forget the noise of the city and live quietly for some time." he always said to himself.
My name is Bill. I'm an English boy. I'm in a high school. Sam is my good friend. He comes from Canada. He is thirteen. I'm thirteen, too. But we don't look the same. Li Chuang is a 15-year-old boy, but he has been a smoker for three years. His teeth and fingers have turned a bit yellow.
"I first tried smoking after watching TV. It makes me feel excited and I think it looks cool," he said. Not all students smoke as much as Li but there are lots of child smokers. A report says 32% of boys and 13% of girls in middle schools in China have smoked. Some are as young as 11 when they first try!
May 31st is World No-Tobacco Day. Health expert (专家) are asking young people not to smoke.
Doctors say smoking can make people get illnesses, like lung (肺) cancer.
Not only that smoking costs a lot of money, too! Stop smoking, children! It's bad for your health.
