Dear Mum,
How are you in London? I'm fine in Wuhan.
These days, it is hot here. I really miss (想念) the cool summer in London.
Today is Saturday and I don't go to school. I want to tell you about my new friend Daning. He is my classmate and he helps me a lot at school. He is twelve years old. He likes playing basketball and he plays it very well. It's nice to be his friend.
Yours.
Eric
Dear Miguel, How are you? I'm fine. Here is a letter in English. It's good for our English studying! I have classes in English at La Guardia Community College. I'm in a class with eight students. They're all from different countries: Japan, Brazil, Switzerland, Poland, and lately. Our teacher's name is Isabel. She's very nice and a very good teacher. I live in an apartment with two American girls, Annie and Marnie Kass. They are sisters. Annie's twenty years; old and a dancer. Mamie's eighteen and a student They are very friendly, but it isn't easy to understand(理解) them. They speak very fast. New York(纽约) is very big, very exciting but very expensive! The subway isn't difficult to use and it's cheap. It's very cold now but Central Park is lovely in the snow. I'm very happy here. Write to me soon. Love, Dorita |

Mary is a worker. She works in a glass factory in London. Mary doesn't work on Sunday. She usually gets up early. She doesn't like staying at home. After breakfast she often drives the red car to see her friend Jane. Jane is a doctor. She lives with her parents near London. Mary drives to Jane's hour in about forty minutes. There they talk about their jobs(工作), their families and their friends. Then in the afternoon they often go shopping. They have a good time.
