The sun, the moon and the stars are all in the sky. We can see the moon and the stars at night.
The sun is like a ball. It is much bigger than the moon. It gives us heat. The sun has "family". The family contains(包含,包括) the sun and a group of planets(行星).
The moon is like a ball, too, like the sun and the earth. Sometimes it looks as round as a plate. Sometimes it looks like half a plate. It looks bigger when it is much nearer to the earth. But it is much smaller than the sun. It is smaller than the stars. The light of the moon comes from the sun. It has no light of its own.
The stars look smaller than the sun and the moon. But most of the stars are bigger than the sun. They look small because they are very far away from us. The stars are in the sky all day. But the light from the sun is too bright, so we can't see the stars in the day.
We all know Christmas is on December 25th every year. But do you know when is the Chinese New year in 2011? It's on February 2nd. This is the most important holiday for Chinese people. We wear new clothes, visit our grandfathers and grandmothers, sit around the table and have a dinner party together.
After the Chinese New Year, on February 14th, 2011 is the Lantern Festival. Children are very happy because they can see many rabbit lanterns, colourful lanterns with candles inside, everywhere in the street on the night of the Lantern Festival. We eat dumplings on the Lantern Festival, too.
Look at my picture! We're in the park. Some boys eat food under the big tree. Some girls fly kites on the little square. Tom and Sam play with a ball. They are happy. Linda and Lucy ride a bike. Danny looks at the flowers. Can you see any shapes in the picture?Yes! The sun is a circle. The ball is a circle. The kite is a triangle. And there is a star on Sam's T-
shirt. There are many shapes in my picture!
This is a beautiful garden. It is small but it is very nice. There is a tree in the garden. There are two yellow birds in the tree. They can sing very well. Two boys are under the tree. Who are they? They are my brother Ken and my cousin Jim. They like playing together. Dad is in the bedroom. He is talking with Uncle Wang. Mum is in the kitchen. She is a cook. She can cook nice food. I want to help her.

Can you sing?" The bird says, "Yes, I can." The cake falls down. The fox eats the cake. The fox is very happy and full. But the bird is very sad and hungry.
