My 4-year-old daughter Maddie once taught me a good1.
One day, we were taking a walk in the park. Then we 2some kids(小孩)around an old lady, laughing at(嘲笑)her. A little boy said, "Look3this funny lady! Can you believe it? She is dirty and she is crying."
Maddie walked to the4. I wanted to take her away from the woman. But Maddie5next to the woman and held her hand.
The woman looked down at Maddie and a 6appeared on her face.
Maddie gave the woman a hug(拥抱) and then left. Everyone in the 7didn't understand why Maddie did this.
On the way home, I asked her, "Maddie, 8did you go up to that woman and hold her hand? All the other kids were9laughing at her or afraid of her. Was there10wrong with that lady?"
Maddie 11me and said," I did that to tell her God loves her. It can make her12better!" I was13. A 4-year-old little girl showed me what love 14 means. What a15girl!
Dear Tommy,
I'm happy to write to you. Now let me tell you what my friends and I did last weekend.
I study in No.8 Middle School. I'm in Class 5, Grade 7. It was around 7 o'clock on Monday. I met some of my friends on my way to school. And we talked about our activities(活动) last weekend.
Michael went for a picnic(野餐) with his family last Saturday. And he went swimming in the river with his cousin on Sunday. I thought he must have a great time! Eva didn't go out to play last weekend. She just stayed at home and did some reading. She told me The Old Man and the Sea was really a great book. I also read this book last year, so I quite agree with( 赞同) her. Jody went shopping with her mom on Saturday. On Sunday, she went to the Natural Museum with her sister.
What about me? I went to visit my grandma last weekend. I missed her so much.
Did you have a nice weekend? Can you tell me something about it?
Yours,
Amy .
