Parties in the USA
Americans are party lovers. They have a lot of parties and they go to a lot of parties. They have parties on their birthdays and wedding days. They have parties to welcome a new baby, to warm a new house, to enjoy some wonderful photos of a trip. They have funny-hat parties, mask parties, uniform parties, ice-cream parties, and many other parties.
Two parties are popular with American children. One is the sleep-over party for a birthday. The other is the paint-your-face party. At a sleep-over party, a birthday child invites some friends to play and sleep for the night in his or her home. At a paint-your-face party, they paint their faces, so they look like someone else or something else. It's a lot of fun.
