In America, Thanksgiving is a family festival. It is in autumn. On that day, people have a big family dinner. Turkey and pumpkin pie (火鸡和南瓜饼) are their traditional food. They also tell Thanksgiving stories and say "thank you" for their food, families and friends.
In China, we also have a family festival. It is the Mid-Autumn Festival. It is in autumn, too. We eat moon cakes, watch the moon and tell stories about the moon. We have a special family dinner, too.
The Mid-Autumn Festival is one of the most important festivals(最重要的节日之一)in China. It is usually in September or October. On this day, people usually have a happy get-together(团聚在一起)with their family. They eat moon cakes and a lot of other(其他)delicious food. The moon cakes look like the round moon. It means(意味着)get-together at night, people usually watch the bright moon with their family and friends. And the children usually hang the colourful and beautiful lanterns. All the children like them very much. They all have fun.
