How can you think in English? I think the best way is to practice as what a football player does every day. During the1the football player will pass the ball to his teammates over and over again. So he won't have to2passing the ball in the game; he will just do it. You can train yourself to3in English this way. The first step is to think of the words that you use daily, simple everyday words4book or shoe or tree. For example,5you see a “book” you should think of it in English instead of in your mother language.
After you have learned to think of several words in English, then move on to the next step-thinking in6. Listening and repeating is a very useful7to learn a language. Listen first and don't care too much about8you fully understand what you're hearing. Try to repeat what you hear. The more you listen, the9you learn. After you reach a higher level,10having conversations with yourself in English. This will lead you to think in English.
Sing the language you're learning
How can you remember a song from your childhood to this day? Why do your teachers use songs to teach you English? It seems there is a scientific reason for this.
Researchers are now studying the relationship between music and remembering a foreign language. They find that remembering words in a song is the best way to remember even the most difficult language.
"Singing could be a new way of learning a foreign language. The brain likes to remember things when they are used in a catchy and meaningful way," said Dr. Karen Ludke. The findings may help those who have difficulties learning foreign languages. In his blog, Dr. Ludke writes, "A listen-and-repeat singing method can support foreign language learning, and opens the door for future research in this area."
Many language teachers know the value of using music and singing. Hua Zhuying, a teacher at a Chinese language school in Washington, D. C. , depends heavily on songs in teaching Chinese. She says, "I use music all the time to teach children Chinese. For little kids usually we use English songs but teach them the Chinese lyrics(歌词). So it's easy for them to start because they know the music. Not only does it work, but it is fun for the kids."
"Sometimes, I think if I were taught English in that way, maybe I would speak much better English than now," Hua Zhuying adds.
Our brain likes music, especially for remembering. So, if you're still struggling in learning a language, why not try singing it out?
I often hear some students say English is difficult, and it gives them a headache. So they can't learn it well. But English is very easy for me. I'm good at it. I'm very glad to tell you something about how I study English.
First, I think an interest in English is very important. When I was in Grade One, we had a new subject-English. It was fresh to me. I became interested in it, so I worked hard at it. Soon we had an English exam and I got a very good mark. How happy I was! Since then, I have been learning English harder and harder. Our English teacher often taught us English songs, and the songs sounded nice. I often think how interesting English is!
Second, English is another language different from our Chinese. We should learn it in the following ways: Listen to the teacher carefully in class, speak bravely, read aloud and have a larger and larger vocabulary, and then practice again and again. And I have a good habit: whenever I have a question, I must make it clear by asking our English teacher. How happy I am when I understand it!
Besides, I often read English stories, jokes and easy novels. From these I know English is not only interesting, but also useful. They help me understand a lot of things. So, to do more reading is an important way to learn English well.
And I also do some exercises in our workbooks, and I keep English diaries. English has become a close friend of mine.
Now I have learned English for more than two years. I am always in the first place in our class. Of course, I hope every classmate of mine can learn English well, too.

Nirmal Purja has set several world records after climbing the world's 14 highest mountains in less than seven months.
Though he was born l,600 meters above sea level, he didn't climb any serious mountains until he was 29.
But Mr. Purja was trained to be strong. He used to be a soldier in the British army, where he had special training for fighting in very cold weather.
There are only l4 mountains in the world that are higher than 8,000 metres. Mr. Purja had already climbed several of them. The old record for climbing the 14 mountains was seven years, ten months and six days. It was set by South Korean climber Kim Chang-ho in 2013.
Mr. Purja named his challenge "Project Possible". On October 29, just a little more than six months after he started, Nirmal Purja had finished climbing the l4th mountain.
Though Mr. Purja completed his challenge unbelievably quickly, it wasn't easy. For example, during one day of climbing Shishapangma, Mr. Purja and his team climbed for 15 hours nonstop.
Have you found that on grey, rainy days, your mood level is usually lower than on bright, sunny days? Is this a coincidence (巧合), or is there any science behind this?
According to a recent study, there is a connection ①____ weather and moods. Going to a warm place in winter can make our moods better. Pleasant weather has been proven to improve moods and memory. However, extremely hot weather can actually make us feel more tired and bored.
The best temperature for humans is about 22. 2 ℃. That explains why people in southern California are happy all the time. ②To improve his or her moods, a person must spend at least 30 minutes outside in warm, sunny weather. Spending time indoors when the weather outside is nice tends to lower moods. It can also make inside activities seem boring.
Maybe only the activities connected with being outside affect our moods. Warm weather is connected with the beach, fun outdoor sports and so on. It ③____ back childhood memories of playing outside all day. Who doesn't love that?
④ 当然,我们每天醒来,并决定那天的感觉是怎样的。If it's rainy, that won't necessarily make us unhappy. We'll just have to take our umbrellas out and cheer up those who are feeling sad.

Dear Wang Lin,
Sorry to hear that you have problems in English learning. But don't worry. Everyone has the to learn English well. Here are some to language learning. I hope they may help you.
Listening and repeating is a good way to improve your . Why not buy some English tapes? You can listen to them at home and the sentences again and again until you are comfortable with them.
It's normal to forget some new words sometimes. But I think you can write them down on paper or your notebooks so that you can them in your free time. Another way is to read every morning. Reading is one of the best ways to your vocabulary(词汇).
I know it's really boring to remember rules. But grammar is really useful. Remember to listen to the teacher and take carefully in class. You can them on your own or with your classmates after class. Then practice what you learned by doing exercises. Try to study and remember information bit by bit instead of memorizing a lot once.
Yours,
Gina
