The Magic Kingdom was the first theme park at Walt Disney World. All Disney World theme parks are open 365 days a year, although opening and closing times for each park are different from day to day. If you are traveling without kids, try to visit it on a school day to avoid the largest crowds. If you need to visit it during a school vacation, try at least to avoid the week between Christmas and New Year's Day.
If you are not staying at a Disney World hotel, avoid visiting the Magic Kingdom on its Extra Magic Hours days. This is because Disney's hotel guests can get into the park first on those days, which can prolong the wait of other visitors, even if they arrive at the Magic Kingdom's normal opening time.
Buy your Walt Disney World tickets online at Disney World's website. There will be some advice on picking the right ticket. See the guide to Disney World tickets.
You will also need to call in advance to make lunch or dinner reservations (预订). Disney accepts reservations, through 1-407-WDW-DINE, up to 180 days in advance. Time does pass quickly, so you should call six months before your trip to get a lunch reservation in the castle. We suggest you should have your lunch at Cinderella's Royal Table for your tour.
Plan to arrive at the Magic Kingdom's front gate before the park opens in the morning. You can check the Magic Kingdom's opening time through the Disney World's website.
Keep in mind that to reach the Magic Kingdom, you must park at Disney World's Transportation and Ticket Center (TTC) parking lot, take a tram (有轨电车), and then take a boat across the Seven Seas Lagoon to the Magic Kingdom. It makes for a dramatic approach, but takes extra time. Give yourself an extra hour in the summer!
Some people think if you are happy, you are blind to reality. But when we research it, happiness actually raises every single business and educational outcome for the brain. How did we miss this? Why do we have these social misunderstandings about happiness? Because we assumed you were average. When we study people, scientists are often interested in what the average is.
Many people think happiness is genetic. That's only half the story, because the average person does not fight their genes. When we stop studying the average and begin researching positive outliers —people who are above average for a positive aspect like optimism or intelligence —a wildly different picture appears. Our daily decisions and habits have a huge impact upon both our levels of happiness and success.
Scientifically, happiness is a choice. It is a choice about where your single processor brain will devote its limited resources as you process the world. If you scan for the negative first, your brain really has no resources left over to see the things you are grateful for or the meaning embedded(嵌入) in your work. But if you scan the world for the positive, you start to acquire an amazing advantage.
I wrote the cover story for the Harvard Business Review magazine on "Happiness Leads to Profits." Based on my article called "Positive Intelligence" and my research in The Happiness Advantage, I summarized our researched conclusion: the single greatest advantage in the modern economy is a happy and busy workforce.
A decade of research in the business world proves that happiness raises nearly every business and educational outcome: increasing sales by 37%, productivity by 31%, and accuracy on tasks by 19%, as well as a number of health and quality-of-life improvements.
In the near future, IOT (Internet of Things) will drive huge innovation in the way our food is grown. Plants will have a "voice", not a human voice, but a voice based on data that can tell people, computers, and machines when, for example, they are thirsty, or need more sun, medicine, etc.
Take vertical (垂直的) farms for example. Farming is moving indoors where the growth of plants can be monitored and controlled. The facilities are built vertically, so growing areas can be put in piles. This greatly reduces the amount of land needed for farming.
From an IOT point of view, vertical farms are connected in two ways. First, small sensors in the soil or connected to plants tell a control system exactly how much light, water, and nutrients are needed to grow the healthiest crops. Sensors will also tell vertical farmers when crops are nearing their peak for harvesting at just the right time to make sure that they are still fresh when they reach their final destination.
Second, vertical farms will be connected to other networks and information systems, including databases that track the local demand. For example, local restaurants may input when they need fresh food supplies. And vertical farmers could get that information so they know which crops to grow in what quantities. This type of IOT system would have been unimaginable a generation ago.
Today, vertical farms are being experimented. Yet, the numbers point to a bright future for the industry, especially as the world's population continues to grow. For example, Green Sense Farms in Chicago is able to harvest crops 26 times a year using 85 percent less energy, one tenth of the water, and no pesticides. A side benefit of lower energy use is lower CO2 output of two tons per month, with the added benefit of creating 46 pounds of oxygen every day.

Have you ever had problems in your life? Have you ever wondered how to be happy? If so, you will find the book Being a Happy Teenager (write) by an Australian writer Andrew Matthews (use).
In his book, Matthews tells us how to have a happy life and (answer) the questions of teenagers.
There are many subjects, such as parents and friends, and the book says we should stop behaving (angry) and should forgive. The book tells us some useful skills, such as how to put you have learned into pictures of your mind to make your memory better.
Many teenagers think that (happy) comes from a good exam result or praise from other people. But you can still be happy when there are no such "good" things. Success comes from good attitude. If you learn from problems, you (have) success in the future.
Some school students have problems, such as (be) too tall or too short. But Matthews tells us that we should think about things a positive way. This is Matthews, most important lesson: You choose to be happy!

It was the old lady's birthday. She got up early to be ready for the post. From the second floor of the flat, she could see the postman when he came down the street, and the little boy Johnnie from the ground floor often brought her letters if there was any.
Today she was sure there would be something. Myra wouldn't forget her mother's birthday, even if she seldom wrote to her. Of course Myra was busy. Unluckily, Enid, the daughter the old lady loved most, died two years ago. Since then Myra had come to see her mother three times, but her husband, Harold, had never come.
The old lady was eighty today. She had put on her best dress. Perhaps—perhaps Myra might come. She hadn't seen her for a long time and missed her very much. After all, eighty was a special birthday. Even if Myra did not come, she would send a present. The old lady was sure of that. Her face had lightened up because of happiness. She was excited like a child. She would enjoy her day.
Yesterday Mrs. White, the cleaner, gave the flat an extra cleaning, and today she had brought a card and a bunch of flowers when she came to prepare the breakfast. The little boy, Johnnie, had been up with a packet of candies, and said he wouldn't go out to play until the post came. "I guess you'll get lots and lots of presents," he said.
What would she receive? Maybe a pair of slippers or a new coat. A coat would be lovely. Blue is such a pretty colour. Or a table lamp, a book, a travel book with pictures, or a little clock with clear black numbers. So many lovely things. The old lady was smiling when she thought about this.
Paragraph 1.
She was now standing by the window and watching.
Paragraph 2:
She immediately opened the envelope.
