In China, there are many different kinds of food. Some of them are very popular(受欢迎). Dumplings(饺子) are the real Chinese food. Now let's talk about them, OK?
Everyone in China likes dumplings very much, and there are many different kinds of dumplings. Some have meat and vegetables in them, others have sugar (糖), eggs and so on. I like dumplings with vegetables and pork best.
Usually people make dumplings at home. If you have no time to make them, you can buy them in any supermarkets. Then you take them home and eat them with vinegar (醋).
The Spring Festival is very important in China. When it comes, we make dumplings, usually we put a coin (硬币) into a dumpling. If one eats the dumpling with the coin in it, he will be lucky in the year.
Now tell me, do you like dumplings?
Welcome to China, we'll ask you to eat the real Chinese food: dumplings.
"Eat your vegetables, Mikey, " Mom says. "I am eating my vegetables, " Mikey says. He is eating the sliced (薄片的) carrots. He is eating the sliced carrots one by one. He is eating them one at a time. He picks up one sliced carrot with his fork (叉子). He looks at it. He slowly puts it in his mouth. He slowly chews it. Then he drinks some water. Then he picks up another sliced carrot with his fork. Mom watches him. "Why do you hate vegetables, Mikey?" He says, "I don't hate vegetables. I hate carrots. " "Why do you hate carrots?" Mom asks. "Because they don't taste good, " Mikey says. "But they are good for you, " Mom says. "They are good for your eyes. They help you to see well. Don't you want to see well?" "Not if I have to see carrots, " Mikey says.
It's said that if you choose(选择) a job you love, you'll never work a day in your life. It is true that you can find many ways to turn your hobby into a career(职业).
Choose your favorite hobby. You must have more than one hobby. Then, follow a way to career in that hobby.
Be aware of your strong points first. Whether you want to be a teacher, doctor, dancer or a singer, you have to find out what you are good at and try your best to make it.
Start small. Starting small gives you the opportunity to discover your advantages and disadvantages.
Stick to(坚持) it and never give up. When you first begin turning your hobby into a career, you might feel that doing so is an impossible(不可能的) dream. Make a plan and don't give up.

In western (西方的)countries, many children do chores(家务) to get pocket money(红包). They usually start to do this at the age of 10. School students have to do homework and study for tests. They don't have a lot of free time at the weekday. They often do chores at the weekend. Young kids only do easy chores. So they don't get much money. But that's all right. Many of them only want to buy candy(糖果). And candy is cheap! They help wash up after dinner, and feed (喂)the family cats or dogs.
When they get older, kids want to buy more expensive things. Then they have to work harder! They often wash the family car, cut the grass, walk the dog or cook dinner.
Some jobs are a good way for kids to learn new things. For example, they can learn to use a lawnmower or how to cook.
All students (usual)need to have good study habits(习惯). When you have good study habits, you learn(thing)quickly. You also remember(they) easily.
Do you like to study in the (live) room? This is not good place, because it is often too noisy. You need to studya quiet place(地点), like your bedroom. It will help you only to think about(考虑) (first) thing. When you study, do not think about other things at the same time.
Good study habits (be) very important. you do not have them, try to learn them. If yours are good, they will (help) you be better(更好).
