American schools begin 1 September. There are two terms 2 a school year. The first term is from September to January, and the second 3 is from February to June. Most American children begin to go to school when they are five years 4 . They are seventeen or eighteen when they finish high school. High school students take only four 5 five subjects each term. They usually go to the same class every day, and they have homework 6 every class. After class, they do many interesting things 7 . After high school many students go to 8 . They 9 pay a lot of money. So many college students work after class 10 some money for their studies.
Last year, we had an English teacher from the USA．We called him Mr Black. He often told us that English is very useful. He taught us very well. He was strict (严格的) with all of us. In class, he always gave us much time to speak English. At first, I could hardly (几乎不) understand any words and I could not talk in English at all. But soon I found English was not so difficult and I could talk to my classmates in English. So I began to like it. This year we have a new teacher, Mrs Green. She also teaches us very carefully.

In autumn I can eat many different fruits: apples, pears, grapes and so on. I can also eat fresh vegetables. Autumn is cool. I feel comfortable (舒适的). I am happy to see the leaves turn red and yellow.
