There is a true story and it moved a lot of people. After a strong earthquake (地震), a 73-year-old woman was in the ruins. For more than 90 difficult hours, her loyal dog stayed with her all the time.
Early in that morning, about 60 soldiers were searching for survivors (幸存者) in a village in Sichuan when a villager told them that an old woman was buried (埋) about 50 metres away. After going through theruins for half an hour, the soldiers came to a fallen house. A small dog sat in front of the broken house, barking loudly when the soldiers arrived. The animal's barking let the soldiers know that there must be survivors there.
Suddenly, they heard someone knocking on the wall. Then they were clear where the person should be and soon helped her out.
Because of the old age, the 73-year old woman could not go away from the house with other family members when the earthquake happened. She was buried in the ruins. Her son tried his best to get her out, but failed. Then he left to ask for help. And the woman's loyal dog was watching over her.
