Mr and Mrs Guo have a small restaurant near their community. Every morning, they get to their restaurant very early to make and sell breakfast.
One morning, when they are making breakfast, they see a small cat at the door of the restaurant. It looks cold and tired. Mrs Guo stops working and walks out. She lets the cat into the restaurant and gives it some water and food.
"The cat looks a little familiar. It must come from our community," Mr Guo says. Then he takes the cat to the community service center. The worker there sends a photo of the cat in the community WeChat group and asks for its owner (主人). Soon, the owner gets there and takes her cat. Then the owner goes to Mr and Mrs Guo's restaurant and gives them 500 yuan to thank them.
With the money, Mr and Mrs Guo make some baozi. Then they give the baozi to the street cleaners for free. After knowing their story, many neighbors come to their restaurant to have breakfast."We're happy to have such kind neighbors,"one man says.
I'm Ellen, a student from Glasgow, England. When I get to school, I talk with my friends for a while. The bell rings at 8:55. The first class is a short 15-minute class. The teacher calls the names of the students. The teacher also reads out the school's notices. On Wednesday morning we do not have this class. Instead, all of my year group go into the big school hall. The head teacher for our year reads all the school notices. She also talks about important subjects like being kind and helpful to each other.
The first teaching class is at 9:10. Every day I have a different first class. On Mondays, it is maths. Sometimes our teacher tells us to do pair work or group work. I enjoy group work the most.I like working with other people.
I also have four English classes every week. English is one of my favourite subjects. We are lucky to have a helpful and funny teacher. At the start of each lesson, we have ten minutes of private(私人的) reading. I enjoy reading books about space travel and action stories. We work on the four parts of language(语言): reading, writing, listening and speaking. Sometimes we have to stand up and give a talk to the class.
At my school, we must take French. We can take other languages when we are older. In French class, we learn easy words, and also about French culture(文化). It can be fun to say something in French.
My school life is different but interesting.

I like fall best. Fall is a colorful season and the harvest season. Leaves on the trees get yellow, red, orange and some are still green. They look beautiful. Apples, pears and oranges on the trees are nice and big.
My brother's favorite season is summer. He loves it because it's hot and sunny. It's a good season to go swimming. He learned to swim last summer and now he's good at it. He's very happy to swim in the swimming pool with his friends.
Winter is my sister's favorite season. In winter she has a long holiday. Sometimes it snows heavily. The snow makes trees and houses more beautiful. I can make snowmen with my sister. That's wonderful.
