London is an city in the UK. People there are friendly and polite. They never talk in public places. The traffic there keeps the left. It's different from that in China. So Chinese drivers may find it hard for them to drive when they get to London for the first time. People there like to goby train because they can enjoy the nice views on the train. But it may take them to get from one place to another.
Rose Junior High School thinks that students need a good learning environment, so school rules are made to help students learn better. The following are some rules.
School rules
⒈Students should be polite to teachers, each other and visitors.
⒉Don't be late for school and lessons.
⒊Students mustn't smoke- both at school and when travelling to and from school.
⒋Don't wear jewellery (首饰). Students who break the rule and wear jewellery will be told to take it off..
Classroom rules
⒈Arrive on time with the correct things.
⒉Work hard and let others do the same.
Laboratory rules
⒈Always listen carefully to teachers.
⒉Do not run in the lab.
⒊Never eat or drink in the lab.
⒋Do not touch gas or water before you are told to.
The key to a healthy diet is to eat the right1 of calories (卡路里). You should think about how much energy (能量) you need to use every day. If you eat or drink more than your body2 , you'll be fatter because the energy you do not use is kept as fat. If you eat and drink 3 , you'll be thinner. You4 also eat different kinds of foods such as meat, vegetables, fruit and so on. You need some fat in your diet,5 it's important for you to know the amount and the type of fat you're eating because all types of fat are high in energy. Follow these, you will find them 6 to your body health.
One day Joe's teacher had some news. "We're going on a school trip," she told the class. "we've learned about different a, so we are going to visit a wildlife park." Everyone was excited. "Bears!" yelled Lisa. "Tigers!" shouted Joe. "Lions!" Then the teacher gave everyone a letter about the school trip. That evening, Joe shis parents the letter. "Wonderful," said Mum. "We must make sure you have everything you n."
On the morning of the trip, Joe carried a schoolbag with his sandwiches, water bottle and camera in it. When he arrived at school, the school bus with his classmates and teachers was wfor him. He got on the bus quickly and then it started to go. An hour later, the bus stopped. It took the driver a few hours to make it move. When they fgot to the wildlife park, it was lunchtime. Their teachers made them sit and eat their sandwiches before they could have a visit.
After lunch, Joe went to the Big Cat Enclosure(围场). He was very sad because there was a a sstanding next to the enclosure.It said "Because of Cleaning, the Big Cat Enclosure is Closed Today."
Tea drinking started in China over 4,000 years ago. Tea is made from leaves. These days, some people drink tea for health. But most people in tea-drinking countries think of tea as more than just a healthy drink. In fact, tea drinking in some countries is a part of the culture (文化). In Turkey(土耳其), tea is always there when people meet. In the UK, homes and offices usually have tea time. Tea and other dishes are served at tea time in the afternoon. It is a way of relaxing (放松) with friends or co-workers(同事).
Coffee came much later than tea, just over 1,000 years ago. Coffee is made from beans. Something in the coffee beans makes a person feel active. Most people do not drink coffee to relax. Instead, they drink coffee to get going. Many people drink coffee in the morning to help them wake up. Others will also drink coffee during short breaks in the afternoon. Some people may visit coffee shops just to meet and talk with friends. However, many people in coffee shops drink coffee when working on their computers.
