Schoolwork can be stressful sometimes, especially in the final year of high school. Daily trifles(琐事) can pile up(堆积) and 1 our health. Therefore, finding a good way to deal with pressure is important.I just2 my own personal way—the trampoline(蹦床)!
The door opens and you are 3 to see people jumping and flying around like superheroes. The trampoline park is full of colorful inflatables(充气气垫). For beginners, it is the best place to 4 .
It was a little bit frightening at the beginning, as I could5 walk on the trampolines. But when I started to jump, I felt the stress start to6 my body. After jumping for a while, I lay down and closed my7 , imagining I had become a bird who could touch the sky.
There were8 bouncing(弹跳)activities too. My favorite one was the basketball dunking(扣篮) area. It included a fill-height basket above runway trampolines. With the power of my bouncing, I can dunk like an NBA superstar.I can even try to do a flip(空翻). Bouncing is not only9 , but also very enjoyable for me.
While outdoor activities largely depend on the weather, indoor trampoline parksare really good places to go 10 you want to have fun.
This Wednesday afternoon, we asked students at No. 3 Middle School about the best ways to learn more English. Many said they learned by using English. Some students had more specific suggestions. Lily, for example, said the best way to learn new words was by reading English magazines. She said that memorizing the words of pop songs also helped a little. When we asked about studying grammar, she said,"I never study grammar. It's too boring."
Wei Ming feels differently. He's been learning English for six years and really loves it. He thinks studying grammar is a great way to learn a language. He also thinks that watching English movies isn't a bad way because he can watch the actors say the words.Sometimes, however, he finds watching movies frustrating because the people speak too quickly.
Xia Chong said that joining the English club at school was the best way to improve her English. Students get lots of practice and they also have fun. She added that having conversations with friends was not helpful at all."We get excited about something and then end up speaking in Chinese,"she said.
Anne and Joseph are talking about an interesting question. Why do some people change their names? There can be many reasons. Hanna changed her name to Anne because she thought it would be easier for people to remember. On the other hand,Joseph is thinking about changing his name to an unusual one because he wants to be different.
People have a lot of reasons for changing their names. Film stars, singers, sportsmen and some other famous people often change their names because they want the names that are not ordinary, or that have special sound.
Some people have another reason for changing their names. They have moved to a new country and want to use a name that is usual there. For example, Li Kaiming changed his name to Ken Lee when he moved to the United States. He uses the name Ken at school. But when staying with his family and Chinese friends, he uses LiKaiming. For some people, using different names makes life easier in their new country.
In many countries, a woman changes her family names to her husband's after she gets married. But today, many women are keeping their own family names and not using their husbands'.
Have you heard of Facebook, MySpace and YouTube? Some years ago, there were even no these names. Today they have been part of people's daily life, especially the teenagers' daily life. In fact , they are three of the most popular websites.
In the early days of World Wide Web(万维网),writers and editors(编辑) wrote articles or took photos for a certain website. As users, we could only read things that others had written. It was not much different from reading a newspaper or a book. The only difference was one thing: the words were on a screen, not on paper.
Since the websites like Bebo and Facebook appeared, they have become more and more popular. Why are these new websites so popular? Unlike those past websites, these new websites allow users to make the web pages of their own.So every day many articles, photos and home-made films are on show on the websites. They're interactive. You can communicate with people on the other side of the world,If you read an article online and don't agree with the writer, you can write a message to the writer on the website.
Are you tall or short? How do you feel about yourself? Who is the tallest student in your class?
One day, I was walking down the street in Beijing and passing a couple sitting on a bench(长椅)."She must be 180 centimeters tall,"I heard the woman say to the man.I turned to look at them straight in the eye at once. I felt angry and awkward(尴尬的) that they were talking about me and staring(盯着我) at me. The woman suddenly said,"Oh, she must understand Chinese.""Yes, I do,"I replied. Then, they both smiled and laughed, and so did I.
This was yet another time in China when strangers stared or talked about my appearance(外貌).It's either because of my unusually tall height as a woman or because I am a foreigner. As a shy person, this makes me feel quite uncomfortable. I just want to fit in! I usually just try to ignore(忽视) such people, but this time, as soon as I talked to the couple, they were glad to make a conversation with me. They were friendly. I felt happy to have the warm and funny moment with.
It reminded me how important it is to have the right attitude (态度) and to be understanding. There aren't many foreigners in China, so it's only natural that Chinese people will feel curious(好奇)about foreigners and how they look different. Although, when people stare at you it feels a bit hostile (充满敌意的), most people are simply curious and may even want to chat with you.
In short, I can't change this situation. The only thing I can change is my attitude toward it. Life is too short to be influenced by the little things. We need to enjoy each moment with a positive(积极的) and open attitude!

When I was studying in the USA, one day I met a classmate of mine in the street. He said to me,"Our class will have a this Saturday. You could comea Chinese dish or dessert. Can you make it?"I didn't know how to a Chinese dish or dessert, so I said,"No, I cannot make it."My classmate a little disappointed at what I said.
On the day of the party,I a dessert and went to the party on time. My classmate was to see me and said,"I thought you could not make it."
"I bought it in a shop. I did not make it ,"I answered.
When he this, he laughed. After a while,he that last time he wanted to know if I could come, and did not ask me I could cook Chinese dish or dessert. Now I understand that "make it"has the meaning of arriving somewhere in time for something.
