About the importance of health, nobody can explain (well) than your doctor. They are the people who really know the importance of keeping fit and healthy. Every time I put on extra pound, my doctor will remind me about what is happening my body. We may look healthy but we don't know (clear) what is happening inside. And there are many different ways we can make sure that we are as (health) inside as we are outside. The first and easiest step is keeping a good balanced diet. Next is sleeping well. Sleep early. Make sure you get your nine hours' sleep. Do not skip your breakfast. It is one of the most important (meal) of the day. Exercise every day. Go for a swim, or walk, or just play football or tennis. Try your best not to have too much stress because it''s very (harm) to your health. Remember to keep (wash) your hands, and then you won't catch any infections(传染病). And getting away from your bad habits (be) important too.
Today is Mary's birthday, but her mother had to work late tonight. She 1 Mary that they could have a party next week. Mary was very disappointed.

A girl who graduated from a world famous university wanted to do translation work for authority leaders. She was so happy when she entered the British Embassy (大使馆). She thought it was the greatest happiness in her life as many graduates wanted to get that job and she was one of the few people who got it!
But when she started her new job, she realized that it was just a job of answering calls and recording staff members'arriving and leaving times. It was supposed to have no future. For some time, she felt disappointed and didn't know what to do. However, she didn't want to give up this job. She thought about it for one or two days and finally she decided that she would try her best to do this job. From then on, she learnt to appreciate her own job. She wrote down the names and phone numbers of the staff members on a notebook so that she could remember them. She found great pleasure in dealing with the daily chores. When a phone call came in, she picked up the phone as soon as possible. When someone asked her about who was not in the office, she would give the right name and even the time when he or she left. Nobody could do that except her.
Her excellent work received praise not only from the embassy's members, but also from people in the local government. A leader of a famous company in Britain was deeply impressed by her, so he invited her to work for him. After that she became the leader's personal translator and she was appreciated by the foreigners.
We cannot choose our destiny(命运), but we can choose the attitude with which we face our life. Maybe the attitude could change our destiny.
Doctors in Britain are worried because British teenagers eat lots of fried potatoes, sweets and fat food. Most teenagers don't have enough fruit or vegetables and more than one million British school children are overweight.
Some teenagers say that they don't have time to eat good food, but kids who have a poor diet often have health problems when they are older.
Americans have been with fast food for a long time, and it was born there. American fast food is now a part of life far beyond (超过) the stores of the United States. McDonald's, Pizza Hut, and KFC have restaurants all over the world.
No one can say no to the fact that fast food at a fair price has its place around the world. It is popular now, and it is giving a hand to a country's economy (经济).
A diet of hamburgers, fries and soda may seem happy, but it won't give your body things you need to stay healthy. Fast food has little of many important things our bodies need.
Some parents are saying no to the fast food restaurants where people eat junk food and doctors are giving young people books and games about a good diet. Having a healthy and well balanced diet can help you feel better and live longer.

What should you do if you don't have a lot of time, but still want to get healthier?
Don't worry. You're not alone. Most people want to get healthier and look younger, but they can't seem to have the time for it.
Here are four ways for you to be healthy:
1. ______________
If you haven't got time for anything else in the morning, make time to drink a big glass of water. We lose a lot of energy through the night, so we need to replenish (补充) it with water. Drink a glass of water and in a week you'll begin to feel less tired.
2. Get some fresh fruit on your way out.
Wherever you're going -- whether it's a walk or a drive to the supermarket or on your way to a meeting — pick up some fruit and eat it. Fruit is rich in nutrients (营养素) and sugar that our bodies need.
3 To do exercise is very important.
If you work in an office, get up every 30 minutes and go for a walk, If you have an office with stairs, run up and down the stairs every couple of hours.
4. Deep breathing.
When you've got time -- at your desk or taking a break -- do some deep breathing. It is good for your health too.
