The Black Book edited by her records the 300-year history of African Americans. She won the Pulitzer Prize in 1988. She was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1993, the first black woman writer to win this prize. |

Maupassant wrote six novels, some 300 short stories, three travel books and some other works during his lifetime. My Uncle Jules is one of his masterpieces. |
