Hello from Sydney! After a long day's trip, we arrived in Sydney last night. We were tired from the trip, but still had the time to get to know each other. We quickly grew into a small traveling family. It took us twenty-three hours to get here, but we all slept well.
Sydney is a clean and safe city. It is really hot, but we love it. Because of the sunshine, everyone wanted to go to the beaches. When we walked down George Street to meet our guide, Aida, this morning, we saw many different buildings. We met Aida at Sydney's Town Hall and soon started our tour. We left for the Strand Arcade as we passed through lots of shops. We saw many visitors buy clothes and beautiful paintings in the shops. We then walked to the main shopping street of Sydney. Later, we bought things here during our free time. At the end of the tour, we visited the well-known Sydney Opera House. After lunch, we met back at the hotel for our first day of classes. This was a time to get to know our teachers and learn about classes.
Tomorrow will bring a full day of classes from morning through to the afternoon. The English class will be a special trip to the Contemporary Art Museum where we will see lots of great works. There's so much to do in the city, and some of us don't even know where to begin. But there is always something for everyone to enjoy.
