Listen to the passage and complete the following sentences.
Many people would be ready to just put their feet up if they made it to age 101, but Irino
Shea, a 101-year-old great-grandmother from Australia, has recently become the oldest
person in the world to skydive and jump out of a plane. The risk-taking, adventure-loving
grandmother jumped from the South Australian sky at 4,267 metres. She kept a firm smile
on her face. In her dive, Miss O'Shea was at the speed of 220 kilometres per hour. This
is a success for a woman who still drives and lives by herself. She was doing this to raise
money for some disease research. After her daughter passed away from the disease several
years ago, this is a way to raise money.
We must find a solution for this disease, said Miss O'Shea. Before her beating in the
world record, the record was set by UK-based Vernon Hayes, who jumped 4,572 metres from
a plane when he was also 101 years old. This isn't the first time the act of Granny has
performed a history-making jump. Miss O'Shea surprised her family when she jumped from
a plane in 2016. For Miss O'Shea, it was the most amazing thing she had done. I really
enjoyed it, and I'm looking forward to doing another one, she said. What a brave and caring
great grandmother.
