Mrs. Rice works in a hospital. She often gets home at about 7:00 p.m. Today is Friday. When she gets home, she finds her son, Jim's things are everywhere. His books are on the sofa. His pens are under the table. His notebooks are on the chair. Mrs. Rice is angry. She asks, "Jim, why are your things here and there?" But Jim doesn't answer. Then Mrs. Rice goes to Jim's room. Jim isn't there. His dog Coco is on the bed. She is surprised(惊奇的) to find a card in its mouth. It says, "Mom, I finished my homework. I went (go 的过去式) to my friend Sue's home to make hamburgers. I'll be back with your favorite chicken hamburgers before 8:00 p.m." After reading the card, Mrs. Rice no longer feels angry. There is a smile(微笑) on her face.
