The famous International Ice and Snow Festival opened on Thursday in Harbin, capital of China's most northern (北方的) Province of Heilongjiang. When most of northern China closes its doors to the cold winter wind, Harbin always comes to life. CCTV reporter (记着) Nie Jia is in Harbin, enjoying the charm (魅力)of this winter land.

        Nie Jia said, "Welcome to Harbin, the city of ice in north China.         A tourist (游客) said, "My friend is from Guangxi. And I'm from Hebei province. We have been looking forward to the ice and snow festival for a long time and we really enjoyed the blue sky and white snow here."
