Zhong Nanshan is a well-known doctor in China as well as around the world.
Dr Zhong was born in (十月) 1936 in Nanjing. He grew up in a family of doctors. In 1960, he finished Beijing University Medical School and worked there (直到……为止) he was sent to the Southwest in 1966. During 1979 to 1981, he had a further study in the UK. Now at the age of 84, he is still (忙碌的)working in the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou Medical University.
Many know Zhong as a famous doctor, but few know he was once an excellent sportsman. Zhong (打破) the national record for the 400-meter hurdle when he was in the university. After the games, he decided (继续) his study for a doctor. Although Zhong chose to be a doctor, he is always (积极的) in sports. Zhong exercises 3 or 4 times every week. Years of physical exercise has made him in good. (状况、身体状况).
Zhong's life has been mainly linked with his (病 人) and the development of the nation. Zhong was once known to China as the SARS hero. (最近，近来), Zhong worked very hard to fight against COVID-19. He even worked for long (没有) a good rest. With his professional medical skills and great spirit, Zhong has become a hero for Chinese people at the difficult time again.
