There was a not very brave hunter (猎人) but he liked to boast (夸耀) to his friends about his brave deeds. Once he went to the forest to hunt. There he met a woodman and asked him, "Can you tell me where I can find the tracks (踪迹) of a lion? Do you know where lions live?"
"Yes." said the woodman. "I can show you not only the tracks of a lion but also the lion himself. Please come with me."
The hunter's face turned pale and he said, "Oh, no, thank you. I'm looking for a lion's tracks, and not for the lion himself."
When his friends heard about the story, they laughed at the hunter. "My friend," they said, "Remember, saying and doing are two things. Action speaks the loudest of all. Next time show us a real lion, then we'll know how brave you are."
