We had a tornado (龙卷风)touch down near the school, and as expected,,we went into our emergency tornado procedures. It was a day we never wanted to happen, but 1 prepared for throughout the school year. I wasn't even in the 2 when it happened. I had taken a student with me to the workroom to help 3items for a project. When the alarm stared 4 , I immediately took my student's hand and 5 as fast as I could back to the classroom.
Never did I imagine needing to put our tornado6 to use. I never imagined actually needing to 7 my students up against the wall, have them crouch (蹲)down with their knees and heads8 the ground, hands on the backs of their heads. Their hears were9 so fast that they couldn't catch their breath, and the 10 filled their eyes looking up at me as they asked i their families and 11 were going to be okay.
In the midst of the very 12and dangerous situation, my students 13 themselves with the attitudes and mindset of children much 14 than them. Never in my life have I seen my students 15directions so quickly, and without hesitation. Even though some tears 16 down, and some hearts were beating fast, my students were brave. They had such a firm 17 in my assistant and me that they were able to be 100% 18 . They were brave beyond their 19 today and for that, I am very grateful.
Right now, I 20 the day and am thankful for our safety, courage, and bravery.
