Mario Green and Mary Brown are from HopeHigh School. These two students volunteer their time to help1people.The volunteer work takes them several hours a week.
Mario loves2andwants to be an animal doctor. He volunteers at an animal hospital everySaturday morning. Mario believes it can help to3hisfuture dream job. "It's hard work," he says, "but I want tolearn more about how to4animals. I get such a strong feeling ofsatisfaction when I see the animals get better and the look of joy on theirowners'5."
Mary is6old people. Last year,she worked as a volunteer in an old people's home. She helped out with thingslike7the newspaper to the old people, or justtalking to them. They told8stories about the past and how thingsused to be. She still works there once a week to help the old people there. "Alot of old people are lonely. We should listen to them and care for them. We'reall going to be9one day, too."
Volunteering is a dream having10forboth Mario and Mary. They can do what they love to do and help others at thesame time.
