Itwas a cold day in December. A little boy about ten years old was standing infront of a shoe shop, bare-footed, looking through the window and shiveringwith cold. Lady walked up to the boy and asked, "My little fellow, why areyou standing here? It's very cold." "I was asking God to give me apair of shoes," the boy answered. The lady took him by the hand and wentinto the shop.
Sheasked the clerk to get a half dozen pairs of socks. And she then asked if hecould give her a basin of warm water and a towel. The clerk quickly broughtthem to her. She washed the boy's feet and dried them with the towel. Afterthat, she put a pair of socks on the boy's feet and bought him a pair of shoes. She gave him the other five pairs of socks. Then she asked with a smile, "Mylittle boy, do you feel more comfortable now?
