There was an apple tree in Mr. Smith's yard (院子). One day, Mr. Smith found some children in the neighborhood (附近) trying to climb (爬) his tree to get the apples. So he let his monkey out in the tree to guard(监视) it. This kept most of the children away from the tree. However, Jack had a good way to get the apples. He threw(扔)his shoes at the monkey. The monkey became very angry and threw apples back at Jack.
